Adoption from the Pianista
editHi there!
I'm willing to adopt you. Please let me know on my talk page. :-)
Ah, I would send you an e-mail, but you haven't enabled it through your preferences (which is accessible at the top of the screen after you log in), which means my full name would be given out in the e-mail. Through wikipedia, only my username would be seen.
I would have sent you an e-mail outside Wikipedia, but I'd still like to remain anonymous (if that's okay). Cheers! --LaPianista!Sign! 19:22, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well...I started just like you have - gnoming (and I think that's the right usage). I got along pretty well without much outside help; just picking up things from my surroundings.
- And by the way...gnoming is a way to help contribute to the project - any help is a big help! The little tonal differences in sentence structure instigated by we gnomes can make a big difference between something start-class and something truly FA.
- But if you aspire to do more than gnome around, a great way to start helping out is by looking at the Wikiprojects. A directory for them can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory; comb through them and pick ones that catch your interest. You can also check out the community portal. There you'll find a list of stuff that needs to be done, whether it be copyediting, wikifying, or cleaning up.
- Or you can do a little freelancing and play around with the Special:Random link. Chances are, the article that will appear will be a stub, and stubs will always need expansion. If you're a scholar in a particular area, you might also like to check out the Wikipedia reference desk. Questions are asked, and contributors like you and me respond. It's a great way to pass time (if, for some inscrutable reason you get bored).
- You can also have some fun and jokes on Wikipedia, too; have a look-see at WP:DoF, or the Department of Fun. I've spent many hours there myself. :-)
- Now...would you like me to design a new signature for you? Let me know what you've got in mind, and I'll try my best. In the meantime, please add
- to your userpage (type {{adoptee|La Pianista}}).
- Cheers, and have fun!
Hello!
editJust dropping in here...how are things?
P.S.: You might want to spruce up your userpage with a few userboxes. For now, just copy-paste the ones you like from the list here. I'll tell you the code for organizing them after you're done. --LaPianista! 17:56, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- And my little stupid self has just realized that my e-mail was given out anyway...sorry about that! But please do check in from time to time on Wikipedia. --LaPianista! 18:00, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello (again)
editWow...things are pretty quiet now, aren't they? No questions? Whatsoever?
Well, now that you have userboxes, you can organize them, like this:
{{Userboxtop|"Whatever you wish to call your boxtop"}}
{{Userboxnumber1}}
{{Userboxnumber2}}
{{Userboxnumberetc.}}
{{Userboxbottom}}
Tell me how it goes...please! :-) --LaPianista! 23:22, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
P.S.: Have you heard of QUI? Follow the directions on the page; it's pretty interesting. --LaPianista! 23:22, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
A present...
editHere's a sig I designed for you:
Code: [[User:Valce1|'''<span style="background:red;color:white"><font face="arial black">Valce</font></span><font face="arial black" color="000000">1'''</font>]] [[User talk:Valce1|<small><font face="Arial narrow" color="gray">(talk)</font></small>]]
Copypaste the code onto a page entitled "User:Valce1/signature". You could call the word after the slash anything you want, but the parts preceding it are important. Then, in the "signature" slot in your preferences (the same place where you configured your e-mail), type {{subst:User:Valce1/signature}}, or whatever you called the word after the slash. Tell me how you like it! :-)
P.S.: Yes, real life can be a pain, and I'm glad you came back...by the way, how is Wikipedia coming along now? --LaPianista! «talk» 22:03, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- Creating a page is amazingly simple. Just type in the name of the page in the search box, and click on the link "Create this page" and then fill in the content. :-)
- Another P.S.:You forgot to sign. Make it a good habit; it's hard to ingrain, I know. --LaPianista! «talk» 03:10, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- Congrats! By the way...you have an assignment now in the classroom. I might head to bed now, so I won't be active until tomorrow or the next day. Bye! --LaPianista! «talk» 03:27, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- Just saw the comment, but no, I'm not a teacher, lol. Good luck (and please respond in the classroom). Thanks! --LaPianista! «talk» 03:30, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Copyright
editAre you nicking some of my ideas? The adptee classroom the sig. making! It's probably coincidence. All f my adoptees have vanished. By the way when you give a new assignment please could you tell me because I might nick them. Chubbennaitor 08:25, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Umm yes sorry. Chubbennaitor 15:37, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Assignment
editHow is your assignment coming along? --LaPianista! «talk» 03:30, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome! By the way, have you seen your new assignment?—LaPianista! «talk» 21:21, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've discovered why your sig isn't working. Check the box in your preferences that says "raw signature," and see if that works. Cheers! —LaPianista! «talk» 21:59, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hurrah, it works! Or, to quote you, "...Wunderbar!" :) —LaPianista! «talk» 03:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Hey hey hey hey!
editSee the links at Template:Fact. This message would be longer...but that page has just about everything you would need. :) I'm glad you're learning on your own; that's how I learned, and it's presumably the best way to get going. —LaPianista! «talk» 00:15, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Talkback
editYou can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
The article BioSynergy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Incredibly dubious notability. Says it was published biannually, and then only ran for a year? So...there were two issues? Brutally fails WP:NMAGAZINE, WP:NJOURNAL, WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 11:00, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
