Vanhoabui
Văn Miếu
editVanhoabui, I believe that you have edited the article on Van Mieu several times in order to change the name to "Temple of Confucian Learning". Each time I have reverted your edit with a request to explain it on the talk page.
Please give grounds for the change of name (e.g., adoption of "Temple of Confucian Learning" as the official name of the temple in English, etc.) The problem is that the name "Temple of Literature" is found fairly widely on the Internet, and I remember that being the English name when I visited the temple. Moreover, "Temple of Literature" is a literal translation of the Vietnamese name.
"Temple of Confucian Learning", on the other hand, is a less literal, more explanatory translation. However, the article itself explains that Van Mieu is a Confucian temple, and a look at the article on Temple of Confucius also explains the different names that are applied to such temples (including 文庙). In that sense there is really no need to specifically use the name "Temple of Confucian Learning".
Whatever the reasons behind your edit, please explain them before changing the article again.
In your edit you also did a wholesale reversion to an earlier version where diacritics were applied erratically and 国子监 (Chinese characters) linked to an English-language article on the Imperial academy.
Hi. I noticed that you had created a parallel Vietnamese General Confederation of Labour article. If you think that an article has the wrong name, you can move it or suggest move at WP:RM. Please do not create parallel fork articles. --Soman (talk) 09:19, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

editThanks for updating the page. Out of curiosity, do you know if it has an ISBN? Is it common practise in Vietnam for publishers to assign ISBNs for their books? Cheers, cab (talk) 12:04, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, it is no common practice for publishers in Vietnam to assign ISBNs for their books. So I can't find any ISBN for Tôtem sói.

The file File:Van Mieu Xich Dang Gate.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
