editHello, I'm SSSB. I noticed that you recently removed content from Vanwall in Formula One without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Please stop removing the hatnote from Vanwall in Formula One. The hatnote does NOT suggest that there is any connection between Vanwall Racing Team and the 1950s Formula One team - its purpose is to help readers find the article they're looking for, i.e. "If you're looking for the article about the 21st century endurance racing team, you're in the wrong place - you need to go to Vanwall Racing Team."
- It's like the note at the top of ATS Wheels: "For the Italian constructor team and engine manufacturer active in the 1960s with the same name, see Automobili Turismo e Sport." - it doesn't suggest there is any connection between the two "ATS" teams; it's just there to help people find the article they're looking for.
- If you keep removing the hatnote from the Vanwall in Formula One article, it will considered as vandalism and you may be blocked from editing. DH85868993 (talk) 08:30, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- hi, the EUIPO found that the EU trademark belongs to me NOT Bykolles who is promoting the Vanwall name across the EU without permission. See www.dailysportscar.com lead article of friday for a summary. I apologise for any infringement but Vanwall Racing have no rights to the marque outside Germany, also where my EU Class 12 ruling now eclipses their national one. - None of that has any relevance to the hatnote at Vanwall in Formula One. SSSB (talk) 10:54, 6 February 2023 (UTC)

Welcome!
editHello, Vanwall1958, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Vanwall in Formula One, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest (as you indicated in #February 2023 when you said the trademark belongs to you). In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.
