deletion of legitimate contributions

edit

If past students cannot record our memories - good and bad then how can this be a source of information about the school?

That my contribution as a past student was edited without discussion or any request for sources or verification is of great concern. Sadly the molestion of boys was part of the school's history, as was the subsequent building of self esteeem.

eg the formation of the Interact Club in 1967 is a matter of record. the debating competition was in the Illawarra Daily Mercury

Please list the kinds of sources you accept.

a statement made to the Police?

a letter of demand for compensation from the school authorities?

surely the number of ex students to make referance to sexual abuse by teachers demonstrates that there was sexual abuse in the school prior to 1967.

it needs to be acknowledged so that old boys can make progress in our healing.

otherwise its just more denial more cover ups

I beg you to include our contributions which I am sure other past students will in time also verify

I suggest reading about verifability and reliable sources. Negative and controversial content SHOULD be deleted without proper verification. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 15:42, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
My last attempt - this isn't very complicated. I am in no way doubting anything YOU say. However, Wikipedia requires reliable sources to verify. Also, please remove the content from User:Vctm64 and User:Vctm64/Keira boys high per Wikipedia:UP#NOT. Thank you. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 03:38, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Keira High School. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Omarcheeseboro (talk) 14:29, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
