- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
Welcome again! Let's talk about your recent edits
editHello, Vellaonwiki, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I've noticed some of your edits, such as those to Shreya Ghoshal, appear to use puffery to describe the subjects of the article. I'd urge you to review the Manual of Style before making further chanes. Please ensure you conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! ~ Chip🐺 13:05, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 4
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Shreya Ghoshal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Title track. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

January 2023
editHello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Shreya Ghoshal, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. The normal editing process on Wikipedia is called WP:BRD - Boldly make a change, but when it's reverted, discuss on the article talk page. I've reverted this specific change you made, it's time to start using the article talk page and find consensus on this. As I've said in the summaries, using a couple of reviews to make a judgement in Wikipedia's voice is NOT acceptable. I suspect this isn't the only place where broad generalizations not supported by the source are in this article, but let's start with just the one. Ravensfire (talk) 20:51, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Use Talk:Shreya_Ghoshal#Sukoon_edit to discuss this. Please don't continue to use edit summaries to discuss edits. It's not helpful, rarely resolves the underlying issues and makes it harder for others to notice. Use the article talk page, it's what they are there for. Ravensfire (talk) 21:12, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Ravensfire. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Shreya_Ghoshal that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. "can you read or not huh" is not acceptable. Ravensfire (talk) 20:02, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
