Important message: exhausted from impudence

I am taking a much-needed break. If you look at my contributions, you will realize that I have not been editing as often as I used to. This is because of a now-lacking interest in this place and impudent users. So I am going to stop editing for about a week or two starting today. Helping articles conform to the MoS is usually not considered ridiculous. Now if you disagree with the idea that links of the form [[target|redirect]] should never be used, then that is something to bring up at WT:R or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Redirect. Continually and intentionally going against the MoS is considered rude (see WP:POINT for more info). ShadowHalo 02:41, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

An anon recently added to the quote at The Sweet Escape (song), saying that the song was influenced by Madonna. I'd remove it since the source there right now doesn't have that anywhere, but if she actually said it, the quote cuts off, so it's possible that she did actually say it. Since you've been active in editing the article, do you know if there's a full version of her statement somewhere, or is the anon just adding WP:OR? ShadowHalo 21:42, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

It's sort of useless when I haven't got the source, but I didn't just think 'oh, I'll write that gwen likes Madonna', I know that she does, and I remember her saying in a magazine, or on Youtube or on the Radio, that that was the song's influence. Hmm. I don't mind that you've deleted it, anyway, cos that is the policy. Maybe my memory is just rubbish lol. I read so many magazines that I forget which one is which! Velten, may I ask why the United World Chart cannot be used in the Chart position sections in song articles? There isn't anything in WP:SONG that I can see that says the UWC cannot be used. Track listings

Gwenboy (talk · contribs · logs) recently had a...very bizarre run on the Gwen Stefani articles, if you hadn't seen yet. (He created the article Naughty In The Bed which stated, "before she took out the single "Naughty In the Bed" she already had release the singles global so all the music store chucked out the CD's and gave them back to Gwen, which he kept them just incase she wants to release it again.") Part of this run on the articles included adding all sorts of track listings. I suspect that most or all of these are hoaxes (since I've never seen an Iceland/Africa single before), but you would probably know better than I. Also, he created Serious (Gwen Stefani song), which stated that the song was released as a single, though there don't appear to be any sources (so I've AfDed it). Do you know if any of these edits might be legitimate? ShadowHalo 05:29, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

His changes are not entirely believable because in some articles he claims that the CD singles were released in only a number of countries with a very specific track listing... generally unlikely for any commercial artist. These should be reverted. I also own two of the CD singles ("Cool" and "Luxurious", both of which were altered in the articles) as sufficient evidence. "Serious" was never released officially as a single, though a music video was filmed, but nonetheless I'm glad you AfDed it. Velten 19:36, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I think I've fixed any damage done, and Serious (Gwen Stefani song) was deleted. Just so you know, I userfied Love. Angel. Music. Baby. since someone suggested talking about the non-single tracks and I wasn't sure how to go about doing that (the version is at User:ShadowHalo/Love. Angel. Music. Baby.). I performed the changes that you made at Love. Angel. Music. Baby. there, but I also expanded the Critical reception section on the userfied version, so if you'd like to make improvements to that version, please feel free. I'm crossing my fingers that it passes WP:FAC; it'd become one of four featured album articles. 22:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm not going to vote yet because I believe a few more steady improvements could be made. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anything that's significantly missing, therefore, I think I will place a vote by the end of the weekend at the latest. You did an incredible job on the article! The Sweet Escape

Do you own a copy of The Sweet Escape? I revamped Wind It Up (Gwen Stefani song) and it's nearly to GA level, but it'd be good to add a Credits and personnel section to the article. I don't have a copy of this album though and I probably won't end up buying one, so I was hoping you might be able to add the section to the article along with the Recorded field of the infobox. If you do have a copy, you might also want to add the information to The Sweet Escape (song) and/or 4 in the Morning, but I haven't done much work with those yet so I'm not as concerned. I wanted to let you know that I reverted this edit to Gwen Stefani discography along with a handful of others. Sourcing has been a big issue for the page, so I'm trying to only include referenced information there, to the ire of a few other editors. The sources that are there don't include the Canadian positions. If you can find sources for those positions, please feel free reinsert them with links to the sources. Cool (song)

I wasn't able to access all of the sheet music, but I added the tempo and did some minor cleanup. I've been working on improving the Return of Saturn article lately. I noticed that the positions for the German Albums Chart and United World Chart are unsourced. I was going to remove them but noticed that you added the positions (a long while ago).
