16 Vayathinile

Why are you removing that information about Chendoora Poove? Kailash29792 (talk) 07:45, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Correction Sir. Baradwaj Rangan says a musical trope from Europe was used. A trope is a signature, in this case a musical signature. That is not to be confused with an orchestra troupe. We would be spreading wrong information by saying Ilayaraja used a foreign orchestra troupe. I am a die hard fan of Maestro so do not mistake me. But Rangan speaks of a trope, not a troupe. Thanks for understanding. Saying this here since it has been added again after it has been removed. Cheers. Venkateswaran Ganesan (talk) 07:54, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
The article reads, "What did audiences make of “Sendhoorapoove”, the song from “Pathinaru Vayathinile” that framed the feelings of an undistinguished girl in an undistinguished village in Tamil Nadu with musical tropes imported from Vienna?" How would you suggest taking info from here? Kailash29792 (talk) 07:59, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

So ideally, Rangan speaks of Raaja using a western classical music style in Sendhoora Poove. So what he means by musical tropes imported from Vienna is Raaja imports Western Classical music's waltz and other signatures which he mentions in the article to a folk melody. We can edit it by saying this: According to Baradwaj Rangan, western classical styles native to Europe were used in Sendhoora Poove. Or what you've edited is just fine. Musical trope is alright. I wasn't sure how to reword it at short notice being precise but since the info itself was wrong, I removed it. But since you are quoting him, quoting him directly by stating musical trope is OK. The current edit is correct. Thanks for contacting me so that we could sort it out and ensure the correct info is placed on wiki.

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to 24 Mani Neram. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
