Davido
Just because he was born in America is not enough reason why he should be tagged as Nigerian-American. I have had this thought in me for a while but I needed an editor of like minds before making a move. I understand that you will not agree with me, that is why I want to take it to a noticeboard. What do you think is the right noticeboard to present my case? Darreg (talk) 18:27, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- Please see the talk page of the Davido article. I and Tubers were able to agree on why he is considered "Nigerian American". There's no need to take this to a noticeboard. Voice your concern at Talk:Davido and try to get consensus. Versace1608 (Talk) 18:31, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- That is still not enough! Davido does not identify as an american citizen in any way! There are many Nigerians born in America and are not tagged as "Nigeria-American". Akon identifies himself as an american and his music career is majorly based in the US. Davido is not based in US at all. I ask again, what noticeboard is suitable for this kind of case? Darreg (talk) 21:47, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- Davido has both an American and Nigerian passport. He travels frequently to the U.S. If you want to change it, go ahead. This is not a major problem bro. Versace1608 (Talk) 21:51, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- I prefer "American born Nigerian" to "Nigerian American". I believe we should reserve "Nigerian American" for the Nigerians that also identify as american citizens (or attained notability while based in america) not just because they were born in america. Nowadays all Nigerians go to america to give birth only because they want the passport. If Goodluck Jonathan was born in america but lived all his life in Nigeria, it should never be enough reason to tag him as "Nigerian American", whether or not he has dual citizenship or not.Darreg (talk) 22:15, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- If people have dual citizenship, then they are associated with the two countries equally. How they got the citizenship is not really of our concern. Assuming he was born in America but no source proves he actually holds a US passport, then "American born Nigerian" is appropriate; but many sources proves he has passport for both countries, so it can't be anything less than "Nigerian American".--Jamie Tubers (talk) 23:48, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- The only reason why I will let sleeping dogs lie and not revert your edit in the case of Michelle Bello is because I don't really know much about her. If you continue with this "School of Thought", I will have to take this to the 3rd opinion noticeboard. There is a way nationality is addressed/written in lead sections on Wikipedia and that format must be obeyed in all articles. There is a reason why Leon Balogun (biracial with german nationality even before being Nigerian), Bright Dike (lived most of his life in US), Nnamdi Oduamadi (born in Italy with italian nationality) are all tagged with "XXX born Nigerian YYY" on Wikipedia. You can also go change the Banky W., ELDee, Victor Moses, Joel Obi, Lupita Nyongo, Tope Folarin (this is an exception), Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie etc to "Nigerian American", "Nigerian American", "Nigerian British", "Nigerian Italian", "Kenyan American", "Nigerian American", "Nigerian American", etc respectively. Note: All these people I mentioned have at least 2 different nationalities verifiable with reliable citations. Darreg (talk) 00:40, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

Darreg (talk) 21:47, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Jamie Tubers and Darreg I am going to put in a request at one of the administrative noticeboards because we need to clarify things. I agree with what Tubers is saying. I made changes to the article because I respect your opinion Darreg. We should respect one another's opinion until we get clarification. Versace1608 (Talk) 00:56, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know what's confusing Darreg in this. Most of the articles you cited are appropriate the way they are written. I think you should take this to a notice board once and for all.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 20:32, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- I am pretty sure I am not the one that is confused here. You stated that the criteria for having a "Nigerian American" in the lead section was when the subject have both Nigeria and American passports in reliable sources. All the articles I mentioned have both passports (and 75% of them were even born in America), so based on your reasoning they should also be tagged as "Nigerian American". Darreg (talk) 21:11, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- It has been on the Noticeboard for a while now and its like the administrators do not want to interfere in the case. They might want us to draw consensus among ourselves. Even you Tubers felt "Nigeria American" was inappropriate at first, based on the information I found on the talkpage but changed your mind after reading the definition of a "Nigerian American" as when an individual have both passports. I believe many Nigerians will also share similar views (your initial notion) after reading the article (there have been some reverts on the page regarding this). Versace lives in America so I can understand why he is thinking this way. Its just that Nigerians are poorly represented here, if not I will have loved if we could get consensus from the talkpage by inviting Nigerian editors that have edited the article previously to share their views.
- @Versace You can remember that a Wikipedian once said that since Davido was "Nigerian American", you should be able to get references in US dailies regarding some of his controversies. If it was written as "American Born Nigerian" that situation will never arise, that is how misleading a single word could do to the article. If Davido had a notable US career then I will be fine with "Nigeria American" musician. If I had my way, I will even just put it as a "Nigerian XXX" and only include his birthplace in the respective sections and categories. sorry for doing this to your talkpage btw Darreg (talk) 21:25, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- I think I get your point. I think we should have a consensus regarding this. I will create a page about this, let the three of us and other Nigerian editors on Wikipedia, give what we think is best for as many scenerios as possible, then archive it to make reference to any controversy that may arise in the future. If any editor challenges the consensus in the future or want a few changes, he/she will discuss with other Nigerian editors on wiki at the time and fix it. What do you guys think?--Jamie Tubers (talk) 21:56, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- I agree. Incase I do not reply any post tonight just know that I have slept off and it will be till tomorrow. I need to be awake by 5am tomorrow to beat Lagos traffic. #lol Darreg (talk) 21:58, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- On another note, let's see what comes out of the noticeboard first.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 22:46, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- I created a page for the discussion here, any interested editor can submit his views under a new section.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 23:45, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Category:Highlife by artist nationality
Hi, would you agree to rename Category:Highlife by artist nationality to Category:Highlife albums by artist nationality, as it's for albums? If so, I can just do it under WP:C2E, which saves bureaucracy. RSVP here. – Fayenatic London 17:38, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Fayenatic london: I agree. Versace1608 (Talk) 17:46, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Hey
Thanks for reaching me. I am a Nigerian Blogger and i run www.entadaplace.com. Da Grin is dead (MAy His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace) But after his death the media said he was born in 1987 while his parents said on air that he was born in 1983. I might not have a concrete evidence but it is a very popular controversy here.
Well i want to create a wiki page for my blog too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Seewhyrules (talk • contribs) 18:35, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Seewhyrules: I appreciate your edits to the Da Grin page. However, everything one adds to Wikipedia must be backed by reliable sources. If his parents said that he was born in 1983, you must provide a reliable source to back up this claim. Simply telling me is not enough. There are few BLP articles on Wikipedia with multiple date of birth. For your blog to be considered notable, it must meet the requirements of WP:GNG. If you need help with understanding what a reliable source is, please read WP:RS. Welcome to Wikipedia and happy editing. Versace1608 (Talk) 18:45, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
I thin my website meets all this criteria. Kindly check and see for yourself. Would expect your response. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Seewhyrules (talk • contribs) 18:58, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Seewhyrules: I'm sorry but your website is not notable to have a stand alone article on Wikipedia. A Google search of your website doesn't reveal significant coverage. The only thing I could find is your website's rank on Alexa. Versace1608 (Talk) 19:11, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Wizkid (musician)

Beverly Naya
I just watched an interview of Beverly Naya, where she spoke about an incorrect info on her WP article. The interview is here. Darreg (talk) 23:11, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Darreg: If she said her last name is not Bassey, that info needs to be removed ASAP. I don't know who wrote the article bro. I just remember an IP vandalizing the page and attacking my user page with obscenities few weeks ago. She was right when she said that Wikipedia is not reliable. Most people who read Wikipedia do not take the time to check the references cited. They just assume that because it is on Wikipedia, it must be factual. They forget that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Versace1608 (Talk) 23:40, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Wizkid (musician)
The article Wizkid (musician) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Wizkid (musician) for things which need to be addressed. Jesus piece
Hello! I was wondering if you can help me change names for two articles. I believe that the article Jesus Piece (jewelry) should switch with the article Jesus Piece, an album by Game. The reason for this is because the Jesus piece jewelry is much more notable than the album which is in fact named after the jewelry. We can change the jewelry article's title simply to "Jesus Piece" and then change the album's title to "Jesus Piece (album)".--ZiaLater (talk) 23:17, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- @ZiaLater: I think you should try to get consensus from the talk pages of both articles first before making any move. Versace1608 (Talk) 01:42, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Broken English
I have always wanted to ask this question for some time but have not been opportuned, since you seem to be well-travelled, you might be able to provide some insight on the subject. I want to know if Pigeon-English is also a liqua-franca in other Anglophone-African countries like the case in Nigeria. I am not talking about Nigerians (or non-Nigerians influenced by Nigerians) that live in those countries, I mean as a 1st language to indigenous groups (like in Warri). I might be wrong but sometimes I feel broken English is peculiar to us. Darreg (talk) 19:20, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Darreg: Yes it is. Apart from Nigeria, pidgin English is spoken in Cameroon, Liberia, Ghana and Sierra Leone. I know each country mentioned has its own variation. People from Sierra Leone refer to their pidgin as Creole, while Liberians (including myself) called it Liberian Kreyol language. According to the West African Pidgin English article, pidgin English was developed by British slave merchants and local African traders during the period of the transatlantic slave trade. Keep in mind that I can't vouch for the accuracy of this article. Versace1608 (Talk) 20:09, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks alot. One more thing, the kind of broken english spoken by Nigerians (using musicians like Wizkid, Psquare, Dbanj, etc as a case study) is it the same as the type (etymology, vocabulary, etc) spoken by Liberians? Darreg (talk) 20:38, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- Definitely not. Liberian pidgin is very distinct. I say this to say that it doesn't resemble other kinds of pidgin spoken in West Africa. There are similarities between Sierra Leonean Creole, Cameroonian pidgin and Nigerian Pidgin. I have been around lots of Cameronians and Sierra Leoneans and tend to understand their variation. I believe people from the said countries find it difficult to understand raw Liberian pidgin. By the way I speak both Nigeria and Liberia pidgin. Versace1608 (Talk) 20:49, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Hello MR VERSACE
Hello Versace talk, Is that all about d'banj's wiki?? Don't you think he deserves more additional stuff? S — Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.136.107.214 (talk) 07:41, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
- @123.136.107.214: The kokomaster deserves a better article. No doubt. Are you new to Wikipedia? If you are, have you thought about creating an account? You can create an account and work on expanding the D'banj article in your sandbox. I plan on bringing the D'banj and P-Square articles to Good article status on Wikipedia, but I know it won't be easy. I haven't had the chance to work on the D'banj article because of my workload. Good day Mr Versace
Could you please add more articles on D'banj, psquare and 2face's wiki. Those are the 3 major kings in the industry and they deserve more than the present wiki. But seem like you enjoy adding more stuff to wizkid and davido. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.20.189.206 (talk) 02:32, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- @108.20.189.206: You are right. They are the three kings of the industry. I can only work on expanding one article at a time. I am currently working on expanding the P-Square article in my sandbox. Once I'm done with that, I will move onto D'banj and later to 2face. I can only work on one article at a time. Versace1608 (Talk) 13:04, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Good job on the latest Wizkid album. The next worse thing to having a crappy album is having a poorly-written wacky Wiki article. I hope he finds solitude in the comprehensive nature of the article. #TeamDavido lol Darreg (talk) 20:24, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Darreg: Lol. I beg to differ sir. The album was pretty good. There were several good songs on the album. I purchased the album on iTunes the day it came out. I am now waiting to buy M.I's The Chairman album. Versace1608 (Talk) 20:54, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

- I understand bro. Everyone has some sort of flaw. I can't really speak on this situation because I have not personally met the dude. I try to focus on his body of work as opposed to his personal life. I personally think you will like the album if you give it a listen. I think Davido liked it too. lol. :-) Versace1608 (Talk) 02:30, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- I just tortured myself by listening to one of his songs today and all I was hearing was "...YOUR BUMBUM IS BIGGER THAN BOMBAY...". I unconsciously enjoyed the rhythm, but it takes more than beats for me to love a song or the artist. Wizkid has no real lovable personality outside money and music. If you take that away, he will be "forgotten". He needs to learn from 2face, Don Jazzy, Omotola and Genevieve on how to be a lovable public figure. If these people I mention stop doing entertainment today, they will remain relevant till their death because they have proven overtime to be truly respectably influential across boards. Davido isn't a saint either, but he does not disrespect his fans and fellow music colleagues like Wizkid. About 80% of his fans are teenagers (mostly female) who are unsure about what they really want in life. Once he is no-longer in the limelight or they finally figure out what they want, he will become "fanless". Go watch his interview with Olisa, you will see a whole lot of arrogance in the manner he was answering questions. He has abused 2 of my friends (who were his fans) on Twitter for suggesting to him to release his album earlier this year. He told them they will never make as much money in their lifetime as he did in few weeks. - Like I said earlier, I can't really comment on this guy's personality because I don't know him personally. I really think people should focus on this guy's music. These celebrities are subject to making mistakes like everyone else. I think people expect too much from them and sometimes forget they are regular people. As for the music, I recommend songs like "Joy", "Ojuelegba", "Omalicha", "In Love", "One Question" and "Show You The Money (Remix)" off the album. If you listen to these songs and still don't like them, then one can simply say Wizkid is not good enough. Versace1608 (Talk) 15:14, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
- I never knew songs were that expensive on iTUNES. I bought the "original" Once upon a Time album in Nigeria for 50 naira. I was shocked to discover Nigerian albums were going for about 1500 naira on itunes. I don't think any residential Nigerian will go for that especially when it can be downloaded online for free. Darreg (talk) 21:03, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- lol. People always like free. They do not want to support artists financially. Music is art and art shouldn't be free. It takes a lot of hard work to put a body of work together. E no Easy oo. I wish they can find a way to suppress piracy because I know some of the albums being sold at Alaba are not authentic. Versace1608 (Talk) 04:31, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

GA Icon
Greetings Versace. Let me get this straight, since you have reviewer's rights, will it be out of place if you review some of my [future] nominated articles for GA status? provided you are an un-involved editor to the article. I am asking this because the backlog in the reviewing process is discouraging me from improving my articles to GA level. I am talking about my articles, that you have never edited. Secondly, Do you understand any Nigerian indigenous language? If yes, what are they? Darreg (talk) 15:48, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

Afrobeat
You seem to have a problem with the page you can not prevent anyone from contributing to wikipedia neither can you hound the page. Others cleaned it up and placed links and you removed it because it put Ghana first are you serious? Grammatically don't you put the name of the letter of the Alphabet that comes first. When did G come before N? I think Administrators should get involved for edit warring and preventing others the add to the page then maybe then you can explain your edits.
- @24.190.22.43: I am not trying to prevent anyone from contributing to Wikipedia. I am just trying to prevent vandalism and inaccuracies. You need to watch your tone when you write here. You also need to remain civil while participating on Wikipedia. I reverted your edit not because of grammar or alphabetical order. It makes sense to put Nigeria before Ghana because the genre was created in Nigeria by Fela Kuti. The number of Nigerian Afrobeat artists far outweighs their counterparts in Ghana. I am going to revert your edit again and will subsequently leave a warning message on your talk page. If you ignore my warning and revert my edit, I will report you for edit warring. Response to nomination of Deletion for KLY
Sir. I understand that you nominated South African singer KLY for deletion. My reasons for contesting your nomination is that KLY released an EP late last year that has been well received by thousands of South African R&B listeners. He has appeared in interviews such as Hip-Hop-Galaxy. he had also been interviewed by Slikour, whose opinion is heavily respected in the South African Hip Hop music industry. KLY re-released his project, now available for purchase on iTunes, and streaming on Apple Music And TiDal. He is climbing the air-play charts on radio stations such as YFM and UJFM. His music video with Riky Rick has been played over 40,000 times, which I consider makes him a notable subject. Am doing he frequently collaborates with other major South African musicians as well as other international artists such as Nigerian singers YCEE and Wizkid Ayo. He just finished his music video with Wizkid which Is soon to be released. He has Brennan named by many sources as the South African upcoming artist to watch in 2017. If his page is deleted now, you guys will regret it three months down the line.
Allow me time to cite more trustworthy sources verifying his notability. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PatrickPitso (talk • contribs) 13:47, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- @PatrickPitso: Thanks for reaching out to me. As of right now, KLY isn't notable to have a stand-alone article. Releasing an EP and working with other established acts doesn't make one notable, as notability cannot be inherited. If you believe he meets WP:GNG, you should add reliable sources to the article. The current sources in the article and online do not show the artist meeting the requirements of WP:GNG or WP:MUSICBIO. The charts you mentioned are unreliable because they are single-network charts. South Africa already has an official music chart. If any of KLY's songs charted on Entertainment Monitoring Africa, then a case can be made about him meeting criterion 2 of WP:MUSICBIO. FYI, I am not going to regret taking the KLY article to WP:AFD. I don't have anything against the artist. I wish him the best in his music endeavors. - @Hameensleek: Thanks for reaching out to me regarding the TeeQueue article, which is currently at AFD. Per Wikipedia's notability guidelines, TeeQueue is not notable enough to have a stand alone article on Wikipedia. He simply has not gained significant coverage in third-party sources independent of him. If you believe that TeeQueue is notable enough to have a stand-alone article, I encourage you to plead your case at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TeeQueue. Neither I nor another user have the right to undermine the AFD process. Once an article is taken to AFD, it is up to the community to discuss its outcome. It looks like the TeeQueue article will be deleted within the next seven days. Looks like you previously created the article under a slightly different title, and there has been a discussion about salting the creation of the article in the future. I think you should focus your attention elsewhere, perhaps you could help improve existing articles. Don't waste your time trying to re-create or save this article. Thank you so much, I feel Jamie Tubers has a personal vendetta against me that is why I reacted the way I did to him . You see, the thing is, If most of the editors behaved in the manner in which you do, Wikipedia would be a very supportive and encouraging one. I have decided i won't answer him anymore and just focus my energy elsewhere.

Also, If I had anything against you, I would've have taken you to the noticeboard for personal attacks already. Not everyone will be calm to all you've been doing, so you should be very very careful. Hello, good day to you,
I need help concerning this, there is an article titled 'Lilian Esoro' i have improved the article oh yes, but there's still this stumbling block, Underneath the Subject's name is 'Nigerian Actor' which really bothers me because a woman is an 'actress' & not an 'actor' it's personal to me because I am a woman. May I knw the steps on how to post an article — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skini Bhaddo (talk • contribs) 16:11, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Skini Bhaddo: Please read Wikipedia:Your first article before you create an article. You can either create an article using the Article wizard or your personal sandbox. Once you're ready to move content from your sandbox to mainspace, you should add double brackets ("[[The title goes here]]") around the title you choose. Clicking on the red link is going to open a new article window, which would allow you to paste what you copied from your sandbox. Keep in mind that topics that do not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline will be deleted. Please provide reliable sources to prove the notability of the topic you're writing about. A google search of the subject doesn't show the subject being discussed in reliable independent sources. Contribution To Olamide's profile
Tiwa Savage is Among the associated acts in Olamide's music career, when I add her name its always reverted. I wanna know why coz I dont see any harm in adding her name in the list of his associated acts — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skini Bhaddo (talk • contribs) 18:50, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Skini Bhaddo: You can't add Tiwa Savage to the associated acts section because she doesn't (hasn't) collaborate(d) frequently with Olamide. The associated acts field is for individuals: groups of which he or she has been a member. Other acts with which this act has collaborated on multiple occasions, or on an album, or toured with as a single collaboration act playing together. Both Tiwa Savage and Olamide have only collaborated twice (she appeared on his YBNL album and he appeared on her R.E.D album). If you think both artists have done more than two songs together, you should provide links to the additional songs they recorded together. If you can provide that, then it's possible for Tiwa Savage to be added to the Olamide article. Infoboxes shouldn't be cluttered with artists who have only worked with the main act once or twice. Still on Oba Otudeko Wikipedia Page
Thanks.
I read your response to my inquiry. But I am still not convinced that there is justifiable reason to remove my edits. My edits were in my own words, I know the subject very well and I have always worked on his profile; so i have enough data to work with. References were only used to meet Wikipedia requirements. I would have better appreciated your intervention if you were able to provide specific examples of where I did not use my own words.
Your comments are too general and do not point to specific issues you want me to correct.
I sincerely do not see the reason for the maintenance template on this page.

Isaiah Oke
There's no need to delete the Isaiah Oke page. Oke was referenced several times in newspapers, radio, and television in the 1980's. If there's not 30,000 Google pages about him, that's because the 1980's were before the Internet. People nowadays seem to have a tendency to believe that if something isn't on the Internet, it didn't exist, not realizing plenty of things are reported on and documented before the Internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dtillman68 (talk • contribs) 23:02, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Dtillman68: This isn't about people's tendency or disinclination. In order for a subject to have a separate article, reliable sources must be present. Unfortunately, the sources cited in the article do not show the subject meeting Wikipedia's notability guidelines. If there are reliable sources available in print, please cite them. The unavailability of the internet shouldn't be used as an argument. If the subject was notable enough, he should have been discussed in at least one reliable source. Hi Versace1608, I will like to call your attention to both cases of "neutral point of view" and "additional citation" placed on the above named page. Young Stunna (musician)
Hi Versace, noticed an article on Young Stunna musician has been moved. I understand. It was nominated for speedy deletion yesterday but was of course confirmed by another admin to be different. There might be a little similarities but like I formerly mentioned this page is for an artist.Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by rexchuqa (talk • contribs) 16:54, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Rexchuqa: Thanks for reaching out to me. I nominated the article for speedy deletion because the subject still doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability requirements. The article has been re-created three time since its first creation. I understand that the recently-deleted article wasn't a replica of the previous ones, but this doesn't change the fact that the subject hasn't done enough musically. His musical releases have not been discussed in reliable sources. Versace1608 Wanna Talk? 17:01, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Versace 1608: What more can be done
He has been mentioned by MTV base, lindaikejisblog and a host of others, has awards and nominations from different categories in Malaysia and many more. What more should he do. Thanks for noticing that the article is quite different. Please also note that the article has been deleted by another ADMIN!!! Can it be reversed???
- @Rexchuqa: The subject hasn't been discussed in reliable sources. The awards and nominations he received are not notable awards. Young Stunna is not an A-list act in Nigeria. This is not to say that only A-list acts are deserving of standalone inclusion. Young Stunna needs to work on his craft and put out quality music. Trust me, he will get recognized if he does this. You can contact the administrator and request for userfication. You can also request for undeletion at WP:UNDELETE. I doubt they'll approve your request though. - @Versace 1608: you're an admin I need your help.what do I say at WP:UNDELETE Wikipedia is necessary for Twitter account Verification and that is what the artist wants. Where can be called a reliable source to discuss the artist?
- @Rexchuqa: I am not an admin. Well for your info, Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion. Young Stunna is not going to use Wikipedia to get verified on Twitter. Thanks for informing me. I am going to inform the administrator who speedily deleted the article. Versace1608 Wanna Talk? 18:04, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Versace 1608: I read criteria on Twitter and it was mentioned that it would help if the artist was on Wikipedia. Im not seeing Wikipedia as a means for promoting this artist. As a matter of fact before I put up the article I had already sent a verification request on Twitter. Please don't make restoration process harder for me. Thanks
- @Rexchuqa: Please do not re-create the article or put in a request to have it un-deleted. Your previous response to me shows that you have a close connection to the subject. Per WP:COI, you cannot write and edit articles about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or people with whom you have an external relationship with. Versace1608 Wanna Talk? 18:27, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Versace 1608: Of course I have a close relationship with the artist. I'm his number one fan. How do you think I know that much about him. I haven't had a chat with him before. I just love his work so much I tried searching for him on wiki to see if he had an album before now and didn't notice any article on him but different mentions with Nigerian top class acts. Actually I noticed the article was re-edited after I published it. The original article I published was as much as I knew about the artist.
- @Rexchuqa: You said you "haven't had a chat with him before", but previously said that Twitter verification is "what the artist wants". If you've never had a chat with him, how do you know what he wants? Versace1608 Wanna Talk? 23:51, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Oba Otudeko
Hi, Please i will like to know what issue there is with the Oba Otudeko page. All sources are correct and I do not understand why the maintenance template keeps showing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adedeji.adeleke (talk • contribs) 16:35, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Adedeji.adeleke: You've already been warned on your talk page numerous times. You shouldn't be editing the Oba Otudeko article because it appears that you have an external relationship with the subject. If you previously used the Yemi Davies account to edit Wikipedia, please go back to it and close this one. Using multiple accounts for an improper use is called sock puppetry, and engaging in this behavior can get you blocked indefinitely. Versace1608 Wanna Talk? 23:57, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
Tell Me Somethin'
Hello 1608, I am in dire need of knowledge which i do not possess and if you told me how to go about it, i really would be thankful. This is my current headache; i created this article Reverend King Ezeugo (originally titled by me) & for some reasons, some editors thought it proper to severally change the name of the article, which has now resulted in the aforementioned article having multiple re-directs. For Example; 'King Ezeugo' , 'Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, & 'Reverend King Ezeugo', all re-direct to Reverend King (Nigerian pastor). Please tell me, how may i delete the re-directs? it all just seems so rowdy. Please do enlighten me. Celestina007 (talk) 23:06, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Celestina007: Hi Celestina007, Darreg was the one who redirected the article to its current title (Reverend King (Nigerian pastor)). He wanted to redirect it to "Reverend King" (without the dab), but couldn't because said title currently redirects to Martin Luther King Jr.. In this edit summary, Darreg appears to be very angry about what he deemed as the "institutionalizing systematic bias and westernization of articles". Don't know exactly what Darreg discussed with other editors to derive this viewpoint. I don't know much about Wikipedia's redirect policy. However, if you want to delete a redirect, please see WP:R#CRD. Please read WP:RFD before putting in a request. If you want to move the page back to the title you feel is more appropriate, please read WP:RM#CM. Hope I was able to assist you. Versace1608 Wanna Talk? 23:42, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Report & Clarification
Hello 1608, I trust everything is all right, I made an observation and would want to correct it as soon as can be, in this Diff Darreg is creating an impression as though we had a private discussion in which i solicited his aid in creating an AFD, (an act/behavior which i found a tad bit strange) As if, I, have not successfully nominated articles i deem unworthy for a stand alone in the encylopedia and in the end the articles eventually are deleted. Gifty Powers and Efe Ejeba being the most recent. It appears as though the aforementioned editor, asked himself a question & replied himself in the edit summary. I want it to be noted that myself and the editor Darreg have never had any form of discussion outside WP. Maybe there is a proper place set-up by Wikipedia, wherein reports such as this are filed or archived, if such a place exists please direct me. I also want to thank @Mahveotm: for his role as mediator. More respect sir. Celestina007 (talk) 16:49, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Celestina007: Thanks for contacting me. I prefer to be called Versace if you don't mind. I know I chose to include numbers in my username, but I do not want to be addressed as 1608. Please also note that I am a male user and not a female user. Darreg keeps mixing up my gender when responding to talk page and AFD discussions. I don't know why he is doing this. In this recently-removed edit, Darreg said, "Celestina doesn't seem to know much about a lot of things especially regarding Nollywood and Music. I mean there are a number of popular Nigerian artistes that I can recall her implying that she wasn't aware of (if you need me to refresh your memory on this I can)". Nowhere in Darreg's response did he imply that he knows you outside of Wikipedia. I personally feel that he spoke based on the conversations he has had with you on Wikipedia. If Darreg fails to show the date and time you implied you were not aware of Nigerian artists, then reporting him would be justifiable. Please visit WP:REQDIR for a list of interactive forums and inquiry pages. If you decide to file a report against Darreg, you can ask for a third opinion at WP:3O. - Oh, dont mind me, i thought it was cool, okay noted, its versace from now.@Versace1608: , I'm not even speaking of the recently opened Eku Edewor AFD, In Line 4 above there is a link, well here it is again; Click Me. He makes an attempt on creating a false impression, as though in secret i tried to contact him. Can't say i'm entirely surprised his acting in this manner, i, of recent accessed a 2014 archived discussion wherein yourself and Tubers were very dazed/disappointed at his actions because of an almost similar incident. - Sorry for the gender mixup. It was an oversight. A strong one at that, gender mixup is not something nice at all and I promise it wouldn't happen henceforth. Before you disclosed your gender some years ago, I always thought you were a lady. I have to kill that impression for my own good.

Urgent Please
Hello Versace1608, Trust your day is going on well.
Please, I want to know why you reverted the reference i added on Kiss Daniel's page. ("Kiss Daniel Mama [Mp3 & Video]". Naijamusic.com.ng. John Diginee. Retrieved 16 July 2017. )
- @Johndiginee: I wasn't the one who reverted the edit you made to the Kiss Daniel article. The link you added to the article is futile. It appears that you are using Wikipedia to promote the Naijamusic.com website. Please refrain from adding promotional links to articles on Wikipedia. Thanks. Who are you rooting for in the Liberian elections? Do you think George Weah is capable of ruling a country better than the ruling party? His political party doesn't even have a wiki article. Darreg (talk) 10:14, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Darreg: Thanks for reaching out to me regarding the ongoing presidential election in Liberia. I hope things are well on your end. I am not specifically rooting for any candidate because I don't know their plans for the country. However, I feel like George Weah should be given the opportunity to run the country. He is more popular than all of the other candidates combined. I don't like the fact that Liberia has a run-off election system. They expect a candidate to get 51% of the votes to secure a win, but this isn't possible when you have 20 or so candidates running. I don't understand why a country with a population of approximately 4.5 million can agree to have 20 candidates vying for the top spot. Majority of my family and friends want Joseph Boakai to win the election. People who are rooting against George Weah often say he shouldn't be running because "he doesn't know how to speak proper English", or "he is going to be a disgrace to Liberia if he is invited somewhere to speak for the Liberian people". I don't understand why Liberians are obsessed with electing a candidate who has a good command of the English language. Having a good command of English isn't going to provide infrastructures such as electricity, running water, schools, roads, and emergency services. I feel like if George Weah has the passion to help the people of Liberia, he can be a better ruler than Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. But who knows, he may even be more corrupt than her. - Thanks for the comprehensive and enlightening reply. I can't wait for the rerun to see who wins. Even though I don't know both candidates, I hope its George Weah.Darreg (talk) 21:37, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
