Vickie Schaffeld Holbrook
Welcome!
editHello, Vickie Schaffeld Holbrook, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Middleton School District, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! 331dot (talk) 22:34, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

I just received notification that I inappropriately edited a wiki page to correct the name of the superintendent for a School District that I work for. https://www.msd134.org/site/Default.aspx?PageID=1596
Please help me with...I do not want to cause embarrassment for my school district. How do I correct this?
It also appears that my account was deleted. So, if I understand it correctly, I need to create a new account and state my information regarding being paid. Is that correct: Vickie Schaffeld Holbrook Middleton School District Public Information Officer Emmett Independent School District Public Information Officer
It also appears that I can simply request an edit, showing a source that shows the correct information. Correct?
Thank you very much for your help. Vickie Schaffeld Holbrook (talk) 23:08, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
- Accounts are not deleted; your prior account was likely blocked for username. (Wikipedia's licence forbids it, and there is no technical option to delete an account regardless.) And yes, you can request an edit on the talk page of the article in question, providing a source to justify the edit.
As far as disclosure goes, you need only follow the directions at WP:COIDISCLOSE on the account you intend to use, most likely this one as it is not blocked and is compliant with our policies. (If you're uncomfortable having your RL name as a username, you can request a rename.) —A little blue Bori v^_^v Onward to 2020 23:29, 3 February 2020 (UTC)- If this is the only account you have used, it is not blocked. 331dot (talk) 00:56, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

- Since you are a representative of the school district, you must formally comply with the paid editing policy. You should also review conflict of interest. I will leave this request open, but is better made on the article talk page (Talk:Middleton High School (Idaho)). 331dot (talk) 16:23, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Vickie Schaffeld Holbrook someone had already updated the name, and I just updated the reference. All the best KylieTastic (talk)
