Hi. Are you sure that the use of the term "blockbuster" is NPOV? Is there any evidence these films were that successful anywhere? Yours, Quis separabit? 00:17, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

I didn't add the words blockbuster, I only redirected the dab link to the correct page. Both of the films seem to have been successful.Vieque (talk) 00:55, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Heinrich von Schimmer – just your average know-it-better with some hundred edits during the years in the German Wikipedia who happened to stumble across some vandalism in the article House of Cards (U.S. TV series), so I undid them. I wanted to let you know that indeed you made a mistake by flagging my reverts as “vandalism”. Please reconsider. Thanks. — Preceding undated comment added 11:55, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

When I reverted your edits it only showed you as adding the text "I am a teapot". It seems that you reverted an edit removing vandalism by accident. Vieque (talk) 21:23, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
That's right, my first click went one line too high or too low sp I corrected the article manually in the next step. Please consider using the other buttons of STiki in cases like this one. (Hvschimmer (talk) 23:07, 6 March 2014 (UTC))

Recent edit to New Caledonia

You should learn that New Caleodonia is a French Country and that the flag i deleted is from a political independence movement, and has nothing to do in the country flag part. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Titi.mto (talkcontribs) 23:45, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

It was decided before that both flags should be shown. Vieque (talkctb) 23:53, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

at least put the France flag on top and add a legend under the flnks flag that shows it isn't the national flag like in this article => https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_New_Caledonia — Preceding unsigned comment added by Titi.mto (talkcontribs) 23:54, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

If you feel it should be changed then discuss it with others on the talk page. Vieque (talkctb) 23:57, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

in my opinion, the flnks flag shouldn't be in this part, and shouldn't be called flag of New Caledonia. I asked for a removal of the svg file on wikimedia, but not sure it will reach anyone. The FLNKS monopolised the name Flag of New Caledonia and that is incorrect, they should have named it flag of FLNKS. I changed the order of appearence in the post. But i feel like deleting the 2nd flag because they don't respect other people with claiming their own flag as the national one... best regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Titi.mto (talkcontribs) 00:05, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

Why was the addition to Baudrillard not constructive? have you ever read Baudrillard? I was trying to warn new readers against the misleading informaation on your website... (In a nice voice) You are perpetuating a serious misrepresention of Baudrillards work, which is a very important contiribution of all of philosophical theory, yet it remains largely unrecognized, because of misrepresentations just like this. Not constructive? What are you talking about? i do not care enough to retype that criticism but i suggest you repost it. i leave the removal of certain "falsities" to your infinite wisdom.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.139.91.176 (talk) 23:45, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

I removed it because it was a non-constructive rant in the middle of an article. Vieque (talkctb) 23:49, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

Add it back at the end of core ideas? Or Leave it under the title "Analysis of Global Hegemony"... You can remove my personal additions as regards to the need to read Baudrillard more diligently and whatnot... As if wikipedia valued the objectivity of language and communication theory, it was not a rant at all, I usually do not enjoy being so indignant but you have no idea what you are talking about, and once again you are obviously unfamiliar with any of Baudrillards ideas... please return my post or fail humanity, and when you cash your paycheck for your last hour of wikiguarding use it to buy Symbolic Exchange and Death and Gaia's Garden and change your life... and the only reason I am even continuing to address this issue is because I hate you and your simple minded computational mentality — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.139.91.176 (talk) 00:04, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Deletion of content on the subject of fertilisation

Hello Vieque, I'm sorry if it seemed like the deletion of content on the article about fertilization was random or without explanation.

The section I deleted was not relevant to the article and purely opinion based speculation. As such, I felt that as a not proven and non-scientific talking point it belonged within it's own article and not attributed to an actual scientific and otherwise well documented article.

After a more careful read through of the guidelines for reuse of material I now know that I perhaps should have left an note that the article had been changed, however the deleted section was to my understanding not part of the original article and I thought therefore this was exempt.

Again, I apologize if I committed any wrongdoing and I will be more careful in the future.

Cisgender

You changed the line about cisgender being normal people because you are crusading on some social issue but the fact is, normal is defined by the majority and the majority of people are cisgender. The entire massive explanation on this wiki could be reduced to. "Normal people." because cisgender *is* the baseline standard for most, if not all societies which have existed, ever, in the history of the human race. Cisgender people are normal, because they have the majority. That may change as science progresses and gender becomes something we can change easily, but for now, they are the majority. The wording of the wiki is needlessly technical and confusing when all you need to say is Cisgender=Normal people. You could sum up the entire page with that and nothing of value would be lost. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.39.140.160 (talk) 04:40, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

May 2014 disambig contest: let's do it again!

Greetings fellow disambiguator! Remember back in February when we made history by clearing the board for the first time ever, for the monthly disambiguation contest? Let's do it again in May! I personally will be aiming to lead the board next month, but for anyone who thinks they can put in a better effort, I will give a $10 Amazon gift card to any editor who scores more disambiguation points in May. Also, I will be setting up a one-day contest later in the month, and will try to set up more prizes and other ways to make this a fun and productive month. Cheers! bd2412 T 18:51, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Vandalism by IP 209.53.180.150

Hello Vieque,

I realize that this is probably out of the scope of what you can do, but I'm hoping you would know where to redirect this message?

The IP 209.53.180.150 is a public IP utilized by the Vancouver Public Library's Central Branch. There appears to be a user (or perhaps some sort of bot that piggybacks off the IPs of the VPL's Central Branch - I honestly can't say for certain) who has been consistently vandalizing wikipedia with the same sort of vandalism that you caught on.

I only happen to be the current user of the particular workstation with the IP address noted above - as it is a public workstation, almost anyone can use this workstation - but I have noticed this happening with other workstations at the VPL. I've mentioned this to another user for a different VPL IP.

If you could pass this along to someone who might be able to create some sort of log or maybe find someway to action this issue - if it's possible, as I understand that if it's an individual, the person could easily just find an unblocked workstation and continue their vandalism again. Noting that, I'm afraid the warning will probably fail as a deterrent because of vandal can easily move to another computer while this workstation is blocked.

Thank you.

(Apologies for not signing this message properly - I'm afraid it would only link to the IP address that's being abused by the vandal.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.53.180.150 (talk) 20:48, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
