Hi there

edit

I'm Dennis, one of many regular editors here at Wikipedia. I notice that you have only made a few edits since showing up, and all of them are to promote a website and an event. Wikipedia really isn't for that. We are an encyclopedia, similar to a paper version you would find in the library but more expansive. One of the things we are NOT is a social networking website, nor a place to promote events. I don't doubt it is for a good cause, but we don't differentiate here. Posting only links to this event is what we call spamming. In addition to editing here, I'm also an administrator at the English Wikipedia, meaning I have a few extra tools, like the ability to delete pages. I have deleted your user page because it was being used on for promotion. Please don't do this. If you are actually interested in Wikipedia, then a visit to the Teahouse would be worth your while. If you only signed up to promote your event, then you are wasting your time and should just stop. Dennis Brown - 21:03, 27 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
