Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!   Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to SVKM's NMIMS. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Bangalore, you may be blocked from editing. Galobtter (talk) 12:47, 11 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Bangalore. - Arjayay (talk) 12:48, 11 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not only that, don't use misleading edit summaries - such as putting "fixed grammar" when you are making large changes to the text. Galobtter (talk) 12:57, 11 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Vikas4899. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Mumbai, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID). Thank you. Galobtter (talk) 14:02, 11 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Vikas 4899, refrain from undoing reverts on your edits as you did here without providing a reason why your edit should stand and not be reverted. You may use the Talk Page of the article to start a discussion instead of carrying out disruptive editing. Do not use misleading edit summaries such as "Fixed grammar". If you are connected with the topic you are editing, that is SVKM or NMIMS, you need to declare your conflict of interest, as stated by Galobtter. -- Rohini (talk) 08:41, 12 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
