edit'Ray Gun'
editDo you have a source for the redlink you added to Riot control here [1]? MickMacNee (talk) 10:14, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/02/29/60minutes/main3891865.shtml, dont know how to cite things. vinsfan368 (talk) 22:44, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ah I see. I have removed it now as the 'ray gun' already has an extensive article at Active Denial System. MickMacNee (talk) 11:06, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Your edit to RMS Titanic
editYour report of the death of Millvina Dean, on the RMS Titanic page, needs to be backed up with a citation in accord with the WP:BLP policy. Can you provide a source for this? Best. --Old Moonraker (talk) 15:15, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

editWelcome!
editHi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, writing contests, article logistics, and other tasks.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a style guide that covers article structure and content, template use, categorization, and many other issues of interest.
- If you're looking for something to work on, there are many articles that need attention.
- The project has a stress hotline available for your use.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Kirill 05:32, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to the 1.0 Editorial Team
editHi, and thanks for signing up for the 1.0 team. We've been testing a bot for article selection, and you can see the preliminary results here. We're currently tweaking the algorithm and writing more parameters, so we can select 20-30,000 articles for the next offline release (Version 0.7). In the meantime, we're (very) slowly reviewing manual nominations for V0.7, as well as trying to coordinate assessment work with WikiProjects - right now we're looking atconsidering a rewrite of the parameters. We also aim to encourage improvements to core topics and the core supplement (which are important but often weak articles) through theCore Topics Collaboration (though this has been poorly supported of late).
So, do any of these things interest you? Please let me know how you'd like to participate. Thanks again, Walkerma (talk) 05:31, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi! Our new Core Topics Collaboration is Boat. Would you be able to help expand the article or clean it up! This important article really needs a lot of work. Thanks,Walkerma (talk) 02:49, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Just to tell you, it's not night for some people. Just an FYI, future reference Vinson (talk) 22:32, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- I suppose you're right, I've made the change. Thanks for the heads up ——Ryan | t • c 23:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Your VandalProof Application
editThank you for your interest in VandalProof, Vinsfan368. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that:
Sorry, you currently have too few edits.
Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. PS2pcGAMER (talk) 10:04, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Natural number has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Saga
editHi Vinsfan,
Not sure why you reverted my edits back to the version I reverted. I did this because the same info was listed three times ( complete with link which when clicked on leads to 'Page not found'). I also tidied up the punctuation, corrected spelling mistakes, removed another dead link and introduced bold font where appropriate. I didn't delete any info which wasn't repeated. Of course you can do what you like with the page, but I was just trying to improve it!

Thanks for your reply - I've now registered so that other editors are less likely to think my edits are vandalism!
Cheers
subpages
editHello Vinsfan, I've moved your pages User:Vinsfan368:WikiProjects, User:Vinsfan368:Autograph book, and User:Vinsfan368:Awards to User:Vinsfan368/WikiProjects,User:Vinsfan368/Autograph book, and User:Vinsfan368/Awards respectively. Since a backslash is the proper way to create subpages in Wikipedia, the versions with the colon took the place of a user page for a (though unlikely) user with that name. You may wish to go and fix you links the old pages, since they will be deleted momentarily. Thanks.--ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk - Contribs) 21:37, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
edit conflict
editHi - sorry about the mixup, but there was an edit conflict when you reverted the vandalism, thus I accidently reverted your edit. Vishnava talk 22:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I see RedThunder had the same issue :) Vishnava talk 22:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
RE: World of Kung Fu
editHi there. The number of players the game has isn't really relevant, as per WP:BIG. What it came down to was that this is just another of the huge number of MMORPGs available on the Internet, with no distinguishing characteristics, or any indication that it has any significance. I'd recommend you take a look at WP:WEB and WP:RS. GlassCobra 22:41, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Cambrian explosion task force
editHi,
I'm posting this message because you're listed as a participant in WikiProject Geology. I've set up a task force aiming to improve Wikipedia's coverage of theCambrian explosion, and I was wondering whether you may be interested in helping out? If you would like to help in any way, you could cast an eye over the task force page and see if there are any articles or tasks that take your fancy! Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
Best wishes,
