Mark Elder

Why was Mark Elder removed from 2015 Tennessee Volunteers football team? Did he resign? From I can find, he's still with the team. Bms4880 (talk) 17:21, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Volman92. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, 2016–17 Tennessee Volunteers men's basketball team, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. User:Woohookitty Disamming fool! 08:41, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Tennessee 2016 recruits

edit

It's probably a good idea to comment out the 2016 Recruits section of the 2016 Tennessee Volunteers football team article until National Signing Day (February 3), or at least add a hatnote noting that these are currently committed, but have not yet signed (with the exception of three jucos, Jeff George, Corey Henderson, and Desmond Henderson). Tennessee will likely add a few more and lose a couple before signing day. Bms4880 (talk) 15:43, 14 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

2015–16 FA Cup

edit

Hi, what is your source for the FA Cup replay dates and times that you added in this edit. From what I know they are still subject to change and media coverage or do you have a source saying kickoff time has been confirmed? Qed237 (talk) 18:58, 31 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Okay I understand. They often add the matches as soon as it is clear that they will be played and for example todays draw has already been updated. After that media choose what matches to send on TV and reschedule some matches, and when they are done we can say schedule is fixed and add them. Sometimes the clubs also confirm dates on their official webpage right after media has selected matches and after that we can also add them. Qed237 (talk) 19:18, 31 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I've un-done my removal of the number. A few weeks ago, I started being "anal retentive" about people adding numbers without specifying a source; evidently it has become a game to try to influence number selection by implying it's a done deal. The ultimate in circular reference, as it were. Regards, Tarl.Neustaedter (talk) 21:47, 30 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Good job with Vols

Good job on the UT stuff. I've been tooling with editing for a while, but not seriously. I will never do it seriously due to the hard headed editors on here (not you). Thanks for adding Tavis Bailey and Christian Coleman. Is Kali Davis-White notable? Anyhow, glad to see a good editor on our side.BillVol (talk) 01:44, 14 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! Yeah, the editors on here can be frustrating sometimes. I guess that's the way it goes in a community based information website. Yes, Kali Davis-White is definitely a notable athlete for UT and Jamaica. I'll be sure to add her soon. Thanks again for the kind words. Means a lot. Go Vols! Cuts

edit

For final cuts, the years should say XXX-2015 not XXX-2016. Bishop Sankey for example did not play for the Titans in 2016, so it should be 2014-2015.--Yankees10 18:22, 2 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ok I was considering offseason as well. I guess if they make the 53 man roster then that eliminates the offseason/practice squad only criteria. Apologies. Volman92 (talk) 18:25, 2 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Joey Halzle

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joey Halzle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joey Halzle. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Mike Ekeler

edit

The article Mike Ekeler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Simply does meet WP:NCOLLATH.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
