Do you have a conflict of interest with the Pasadena Rugby Football Club?

Greetings! I see that you uploaded File:PRFC.jpg, the club logo used in Pasadena Rugby Football Club, and identified it as your own work. Since you've designed the club's logo, is it fair to assume that you have a conflict of interest with the club? —C.Fred (talk) 20:25, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I am a member of the Pasadena Rugby Football Club and am taking over the role of club historian for the club. I am assuming that might be a conflict of interest with the club. - Vonkurthausen (talk) 20:49, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that is a conflict of interest. That doesn't bar you from editing the PRFC article, but it means you should make sure that your edits are backed up with secondary sources wherever possible, and you need to be very careful that the tone of your edits are neutral. —C.Fred (talk) 20:46, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Of course, I definitely understand that. I am not trying to be biased about the content matter. Merely taking facts and results from a third party that aren't recorded and making them of use. Vonkurthausen (talk) 20:49, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

As far as images of logos and crests that are not free content, you can't upload those to Wikimedia Commons. You can upload them to the English Wikipedia; they'll need to comply with the non-free content criteria. (Your account may be young enough that you'll need to request an image upload rather than upload it yourself.) —C.Fred (talk) 20:53, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
