A tag has been placed on Exinda Networks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fair use rationale for Image:SDP.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SDP.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. AtTask

edit

I don't know anything about the February AfD: I was considering the article for the first time, and I just didn't feel it met WP:ORG:

"A company, corporation, organization, team, religion, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject. The depth of coverage of the subject by the source must be considered. If the depth of coverage is not substantial, then multiple independent sources should be cited to establish notability."
"A primary test of notability is whether people independent of the subject itself (or of its manufacturer, creator, or vendor) have actually considered the company, corporation, product or service notable enough that they have written and published non-trivial works that focus upon it."

Might I suggest you put the article in userspace first before posting it to the talk page. The AfD will be closed tomorrow so the eyes on it will become fewer. I will be more than happy to collaborate, comment, and such with you. spryde | talk 17:31, 12 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Don't forget sources. Template:Cite web is your friend along with {{Reflist}}. spryde | talk 19:59, 12 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Notes....
  • Collaboration Loop, Macworld, and Web 2.0 are press releases and need to be carefully used.
  • The overall tone reads a bit like an advertisement. You may wish to tone down buzzwords a bit.
Overall, I would get the closing admin of the AfD to review the text to see if they have any concerns. That will help, but not guarantee, that the page will stay instead of being deleted. spryde | talk 18:00, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your Userpage Deleted as Advertising

edit

Your userpage is not to be used as advertising or promotion as a pseudo-article. please remember that Wikipedia is not MySpace. Your userpage is for anything that is compatible with the Wikipedia project. It is a mistake to think of it as a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. Thanks.--Hu12 (talk) 00:25, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Exinda Networks

edit

An editor has nominated Exinda Networks, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Exinda Networks and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you.[1] BJBot (talk) 23:59, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Exinda Logo.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Exinda Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:35, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
