Hello Vrushabhj. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Vrushabhj. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Vrushabhj|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hello 331dot
- I have no financial stake in editing the persons' Wiki page. The person is one of my friends who needed help in publishing his Wiki page. Hence, I am not receiving any direct or indirect compensation & can't post any disclosure. Vrushabhj (talk) 10:47, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
- That's not what you said before. You said that you were editing about your organization's CEO. If you work for the organization, you are a paid editor, you do not have to be specifically paid to edit. So are you telling the truth now, or were you then?
- It would not be "his Wiki page", but a Wikipedia article about him. 331dot (talk) 10:53, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
- We missed complying with the Wiki guidelines for paid contribution. This is our disclosure: Vrushabhj (talk) 08:41, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
Vrushabhj (talk) 08:44, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Vrushabhj, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by CEEW on behalf of Arunabha Ghosh for their contributions to Wikipedia. - Thank you. You will also need to post this notice on the talk pages of any articles or drafts you edit that are related to your conflict of interest(your company or its personnel). You should avoid directly editing the article about your company in most cases, instead you may make formal edit requests(click for instructions) on the article talk page. Submitting a draft is the correct way to create a new article. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 28 April 2022 (UTC)

editAs previously advised ([1]), you should not remove the "Paid contributions" template on the draft about Anurabha Ghosh, as you did here. The template lets other editors know that a main contributor to the draft has a paid conflict of interest. --bonadea contributions talk 07:28, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Ho Bonadea,
- We were not aware of this and have restore the paid template now. Vrushabhj (talk) 12:25, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
