Notability of Dave Anchorking
editA tag has been placed on Dave Anchorking requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Endless Dan 14:06, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

bebo is not a means of advertising
editDo not add bebo links on wikipedia and do not spam any more articles Denzillacey 09:24, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Bebo is not a means of advertising...what do you mean exactly? WWR 15:26, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Do Not add bebo links
editBebo links are not allowed on bebo, please refer to the Wikipedia rules —Preceding unsigned comment added by Denzillacey (talk • contribs) 17:34, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- I looked at the rules...there's nothing there about Bebo links not being allowed. Could you please point me to exactly where you read this?
Bebo Links
editI don't think you've read the rules of wikipedia WP:NOTBLOG clearly states that bebo links are not allowed Denzillacey 17:48, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- That doesn't clearly state anything about Bebo. Seriously, could you quote where it says that Bebo links are not allowed? WWR 17:53, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not a social network such as MySpace or Facebook. You may not host your own website, blog, or wiki at Wikipedia. Bebo qualifies as a social networking site Denzillacey 18:03, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- So you're also saying that MySpace links are not allowed? I don't think you quite understand that sentence... WWR 18:10, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Whatever, the you just are a bit slow Denzillacey 18:12, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- That rule says that you can't use Wikipedia to talk to your friends. It has absolutely nothing to do with Bebo links not being allowed. Many pages have Bebo links WWR 18:15, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on World wrestling revolution. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Bebo link and possible conflict of interest in World wrestling revolution
editHi, to clarify, WP:EL states that among the sites to be avoided are:
Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace), discussion forums or USENET.
...and...
Sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject: the link should be directly related to the subject of the article. A general site that has information about a variety of subjects should usually not be linked to from an article on a more specific subject. Similarly, a website on a specific subject should usually not be linked from an article about a general subject. If a section of a general website is devoted to the subject of the article, and meets the other criteria for linking, then that part of the site could be deep-linked.
A Bebo page for the presenter of a radio show simply doesn't meet the criteria for inclusion in that show's article. I've removed the link and would appreciate it if you did not add it to the article again.
Additionally, I think you should take a look at Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest#Examples, specifically the paragraph regarding self-promotion. Your username suggests a connection to the show in question. If I'm wrong, shout back. Thanks. Chwech 18:41, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
