Possible bot problem
editIf this is a bot, please fix it.
These See also links should not have been combined, and I have been spending hours fixing them manually as so many edits have been made in the meantime. Your edit summary only mentions Persondata, so I don't know why this incorrect change was made at all. 184.78.81.245 (talk) 17:30, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Since you are a really active editor I would suggest that you install the latest revision found at http://toolserver.org/~awb/snapshots/ It has fixed some critical bugs and it is much faster than the one you have. -- Magioladitis (talk) 12:54, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

Persondata - Short Description
editHi, I noticed you have been adding a value to the SHORT DESCRIPTION parameter of Persondata in various articles. I believe the value you added for Al Jardine is incorrect. You added "American Record Producer"; although Jardine produced or co-produced some of the Beach Boys records, he is really primarily known as a guitarist, songwriter, and singer for the Beach Boys. I reverted your edits twice, providing a rationale in the edit summary, but evidently you did not look at the article history when you reinserted the same edit or chose not to provide a rationale in the edit summary for reinserting the edit. In the future it would be helpful if you looked at the history before reinserting your reverted edit to see why there is an issue, and if you disagree with the reverting of your edit, provide a rationale in the edit summary (or otherwise discuss it). Thanks, hulmem (talk) 04:53, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I am just making contact in relation to the "South Korean skateboarder" category for the Daewon Song article. I have edited the metadata so that it instead reads, "Korean American skateboarder", and removed the "South Korean skateboarder" category, as I do not think that Song regards himself as a "South Korean skateboarder" at the present time. However, I am more than open to being corrected, so let me know what you think if my edit should be undone. Regards,--Soulparadox (talk) 14:22, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello and thanks for raising your concerns about the notability of this person, back in Jan 2008. 5 years later the tag is still on and I couldn't find sources to verify notability. You might want to take it to AfD or the Notability Noticeboard. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:56, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
Persondata → SHORT DESCRIPTION → Mormon missionary
editI've noticed on many Mormon bio's you've added Mormon missionary in Persondata → SHORT DESCRIPTION. Please understand that almost no Mormon is primarily notable specifically for their service as a missionary (with exceptions for Dan Jones (Mormon), & perhaps the unfortunate elder in the Mormon sex in chains case). Please avoid adding that in the future. -- 208.81.184.4 (talk) 23:38, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Question
editI saw you adding person data to Cenap Samet. That stub is there since almost two years without any sources and no improvement at all. Possibly because the person is not notable enough. Should it not go to AfD? Best. --E4024 (talk) 23:45, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
Use of the "Minor Edit" tag
editHi, I notice that you are adding short descriptions to articles and ticking the "minor edit" box, for example here: [[1]]. I just thought I would let you know that the "minor" edit box is really for tiny tiny changes that nobody could possibly object to - such as removing an extra blank space. The policy is here: WP:MINOR. Friendly regards, Springnuts (talk) 08:56, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

Creating categories for birth and death dates of persondata
editHi Waacstats, I see that you contribute a lot to the person data of Wikipedia. I am interested in creating categories for the various birth and death dates of people in Wikipedia. So I was wondering if you know - is there a way for a computer to create and populate these categories by pulling the information from the person data? If you do not know the answer to this question, do you know whom I should ask? Thanks a lot!Hoops gza (talk) 21:32, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

All it would take is a not on my talk page that was a little less threatening and I would have changed it, no need to appear to be so angry. Waacstats (talk) 07:36, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
- The problem is that this is not an isolated incident. You have a history and a pattern of identical poor editing over several years now. You really, really do need to have a fundamental rethink of your behaviour. It would take hundreds of hours now for other editors to rectify your countless mistakes. I mean it when I say: desist now. Please. --Mais oui! (talk) 08:08, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
- I will not "desist now", I admit that a few errors may have crept in on these over the years, but not "Hundreds of hours" to correct and I have never asked anyone else to correct them and am willing and have done in the past corrected them myself. I take care over these and I hope that this is an isolated incident as I have not been told about any others for quite some time, in terms of getting Scottish/British wrong it has been over a year. Please stop placing factually incorrect information into draft articles inside my usespace
editAs per Wikipedia:User pages#Editing of other editors' user and user talk pages, would you please stop using what ever automated tool you are using to repeatedly insert factually incorrect information into various draft articles located within my userspace. While I am aware that there are a variety of drafts in various stages of completion that might appear to the uninitiated to have likely avenues for automated improvement, when information is missing or incomplete for more than a couple days it is more common that it has not been inserted into the draft for reasons such as inability to properly verify or contradictory claims made by various good quality sources. Your efforts to "fill in the blanks" by adding WP:Persondata information defeats my personal system by removing the internal checks I use when writing an article and instead of the raw text giving me a visual reminder that work still needs to be performed I am stuck scanning my watchlist and hoping that I spot every instance of your bot inserting incorrect information (I am assuming you are using a bot because of the large number of edits you perform, then fact that the articles being edited have no links pointed to them and are not in any categories, and because you have obviously not been reading the complete contents the the article lead before determining how to categorize a person). --Allen3 talk 22:33, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Speedy deletion nomination of Bill Toma
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bill Toma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. 98.74.156.204 (talk) 02:33, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

editHi, why are you commenting your additions to persondata with the edit comment "removing..."? e.g. John Stevens Henslow. It's at best unhelpful, at worst confusing. Persondata short description
editWhile I appreciate the effort you're putting in to adding persondata short descriptions that lack them, please be careful to add accurate descriptions; an inaccurate description is no improvement on no description (and is arguably worse, since it means the article is no longer tagged as needing improvement).
