Your page

edit

You can keep information about yourself on your own user page if you'd like. But it can't be moved into articlespace until you are reliably sourceable as satisfying a specific notability criterion — Wikipedia is not a free public relations platform on which everybody is welcome to start an article about themselves just because they exist. And "Wikipedia" namespace is not for articles either, but is for internal project pages like worklists and discussion pages, not for articles or user profiles. Again, you can keep your userpage if you'd like — but you can't move it to any other title or into any other namespace but "User:". Bearcat (talk) 17:11, 23 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Read what I said above again. You can and will be blocked from editing Wikipedia at all if this continues. Bearcat (talk) 18:26, 2 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
I noticed that you inserted more material about yourself, this time on a Wikipedia help page. What is going on? EricEnfermero (Talk) 05:09, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to go over this one more time: you are not allowed to start an article about yourself on Wikipedia; please see our rules about conflict of interest and WP:AUTOBIO. And in order to be kept on Wikipedia, a person must be reliably sourceable, in real media coverage about them, as passing a specific notability criterion — the one for filmmakers is WP:CREATIVE — but the article you keep creating cites no media coverage, and basically amounts to your résumé rather than an encyclopedia article. And no, reliable sourcing does not mean YouTube videos or your own social media accounts — it means real newspapers or magazines writing articles about you. You're not allowed to keep recreating the same article over and over again — once it's been deleted once, the only way it can ever be recreated again is if you can do a much better job of making it properly conform to our inclusion rules. And you cannot go around adding it to unrelated pages about other topics either. This is your final warning; we have rules that have to be followed, and you will be editblocked if you disregard them any further. Bearcat (talk) 16:28, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Wasim Aftab director. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Wasim Aftab director

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wasim Aftab director, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. -- John of Reading (talk) 06:07, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
