E-mail

edit

You should verify your e-mail on Wikipedia so I can e-mail you more information so we can improve the Shi'a Islam articles. --Enzuru 05:36, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'll attempt to do that, any Idea how, still inexperienced. (Water Stirs (talk) 02:07, 5 December 2008 (UTC))Reply

Ya Ali madaad, on the top right of the top of the page, go to my preferences. There you will find a place where you can put your e-mail, and then you will save the information and an e-mail should be immediately sent to you, and you can confirm the address. After that, it will be easier for us to coordinate things. Second, you can click watch on top of any page you edit often, and then go to my watchlist on the top right you can see all the pages you are interested in and what changes have been made. This makes organization easier! --Enzuru 07:49, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

RE:Ismailism

edit

Ya Ali madaad, you have been doing a wonderful job on the Nizari article, and a wonderful job on moving the Aga Khans' information into their respective articles. Why don't you move the Aga Khan IV section after history, and rename it "Contemporary times" or something like that, and not only talk about him, but talk about all the events of his Imamah? That could fix our issue. --Enzuru 06:33, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nizari and Ismailism

edit

Some of the things in the Nizari article could be better placed in the Ismailism article, the Nizari article should concentrate on what makes the Nizari special and different from other Ismaili groups. I think we are lacking a bit in theology, such as panentheism and reincarnation. --Enzuru 01:55, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

With your permission

edit

Most of the information in the Nizari template is covered in the Ismailism template, and in fact having it combined allows us to better approach the subject and makes it much more understandable for the reader. For example, there is a unified Imam template for all Ismaili Imams on Wikipedia. With your permission I would like to combine the Nizari template with the Ismailism template. I am also Nizari, and I have been making sure the Nizari are sufficiently represented in all articles on Ismailism, including the article on Ismailism and Template:Ismailism. --pashtun ismailiyya 22:44, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Nizari are the largest branch, which is why we are extremely well represented on Template:Ismailism. Almost every link on the Nizari template is already on the Ismaili template, which means there is lots of double information. For example, when I designed Template:Shi'a Islam and Template:Ismailism, I made sure little to no information was repeated. It becomes easier, cleaner, and better for those learning about the Nizari if we have a single template. We can have important jamaat information on the template, as well. So, if you do agree, I would like to combine them. --pashtun ismailiyya 23:56, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Enzuru and I are the same girl! I had to change my nick because I was being harassed by two Twelver editors. --pashtun ismailiyya 16:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh mate sorry to hear about your trouble, still glad to have you back. I thought you were "both" dudes tbh, explains your penchant for pink. I had no idea there were Pashtun Isma'ili, that would be an interesting article, something about Afghan Isma'ili; I wanted to know about the state of affairs in Afghanistan, are Imamate institutions running things? or is the Jamaat still split between the reformists and Sayyid Jaffar of Kayans family? I've been trying to find out, but to no avail, everything online seems to predate the war.

If you read the history of the Bangash tribe, from my knowledge it seems they believe that their ancestor was Ismail, which some scholars believe may have been a way of calling themselves Ismailiyya. During the brief Ismaili state in Multan is perhaps when they encountered Ismaili da'i. Some orientalists only a century ago said that the Bangash were Ismailiyya, though I believe they are Twelver now. The state of Ismailism among Pashtuns is that mainly of reverts who have encountered the faith in Afghanistan or Pakistan. I am guessing the ones who encounter it in Pakistan adopt Satpanth while the ones in Afghanistan adopt Nasriyya. I am Nasriyya, though my knowledge of the Ismaili situation in Afghanistan is still weak, however I believe the Sayeds still are prominent (remember, they were part of the Northern Alliance which helped the US topple the Taliban). However, the Imamate has already put itself into the country, with Hadhir Imam I believe owning half the country's largest (or maybe only) cellphone company. The Ismailiyya in Afghanistan to my knowledge are split between the Hazara and the Tajik. Overall, half of the country's Shi'a (both Twelver and Ismailiyya) population is Hazara and the other half Tajik. There are small Twelver Pashtun populations in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. --pashtun ismailiyya 21:38, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I left out both the sections on ethnic groups and institutions. No religious template on Wikipedia links to all the ethnic groups which follow it; we'll leave this out. As far as institutions, the Roman Catholic Church runs more institutions than we can imagine but even they are not all linked. Perhaps we can have a very small template dealing with these institutions. --pashtun ismailiyya 22:56, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Ironically I initially had contemporary groups separate from extinct sects, as well as a section for contemporary leaders. I will restore both. --pashtun ismailiyya 04:57, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
To make it easier, alhamdullilah, it seemed nicer if we put the leaders and the groups side by side. I wanted to title it "Modern groups & leaders" but that would have been too long. --pashtun ismailiyya 05:19, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of old templates

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:/box-header requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit [[Talk:Template:/box-header|the article's talk page directly]] to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page.

I've also marked Template:/box-footer for deletion. I guess you added these two templates in the wrong place by accident. If you have no problem with their deletion, you can ignore this message. Thank you. PartTimeGnome (talk) 21:41, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
