Is there another way where you can request for the rollback feature? Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 01:45, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'm reviewing your account right now. — GorillaWarfare talk 01:53, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 01:55, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- It looks to me like you need a little more experience editing Wikipedia before you get rollback rights. You have a lot of declined speedy deletions and seem to be pretty unfamiliar with a lot of the inner workings of Wikipedia. Furthermore, I don't see a lot of vandal reversion in your contributions (although that could be because you don't use many edit summaries -- you should!). I'd suggest starting doing more vandal reversion. You can use Twinkle to revert vandalism easily, and it doesn't require rollback rights like Huggle does. — GorillaWarfare talk 01:59, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
How do I use Twinkle? Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 02:06, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:TWINKLE#Installation, and WP:Twinkle/doc. Once you install it, make sure you have read the directions and only use it to revert blatant vandalism. —fetch·comms 02:41, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 15:29, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

{{helpme}} Is there a chance that I can be administrator now? Wayne Olajuwon chat 00:33, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Not with this incessant helpme-ing. Wait a year and see. —fetch·comms 00:38, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Okay. Wayne Olajuwon chat 00:39, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Most people like to wait until they are at least 6 months old and have 30,000 edits before running for adminship. Also, your incessant helpme-ing is just annoying all of us on IRC. Mr. R00t Talk 00:41, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm sorry. Wayne Olajuwon chat 00:41, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- 30,000 is a stretch. The common minimum is about 6–8 months, with at least 4,000 exceptional edits, or about 6,000–8,000 including automated and such. —fetch·comms 00:54, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
I only have 1,975 edits. Wayne Olajuwon chat 00:56, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Don't worry about your edit count. Just keep on editing what you like to, and others will know when you're ready, and maybe they'll offer to nominate! Being an admin isn't very different. You just do the boring stuff like nuking pages (which gets you lots of complaints on your talk page). But seriously, you'll have to gain the community's trust and demonstrate a need for the tools and sufficient policy knowledge. Furthermore, you will need to show that you have sound judgement. BTW, I like your edit notice :D Airplaneman ✈ 03:12, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

edit
If you could advise as to what was incorrect about the below revision, I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Thank you.
Sen. John Boehner:
Boehner has also been accused of having an overly comfortable relationship with student loan giant Sallie Mae. According to "Student Loan Justice," a grassroots organization dedicated to ending predatory student lending tactics, Boehner and Howard "Buck" Mckeon cosponsored significant changes to The Higher Education Act (HEA). The changes made student loans some of the "most lucrative and easiest type of debt to collect." [17] In 2003-2004, Boehner's political action committee -- the Freedom Project-- received $572,719 from individuals, according to records filed with the Federal Election Commission and analyzed by PoliticalMoneyLine. More than half of that, $292,570, came from employees and lobbyists for private student lending companies and for-profit academic institutions.[18] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yougotit30 (talk • contribs) 18:00, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Rollback
Hello, per your request, I've granted you Rollback rights! Just remember:
- Rollback gives you access to certain scripts, including Huggle and Igloo, some of which can be very powerful, so exercise caution
- Rollback is only for blatant vandalism
- Having Rollback rights does not give you any special status or authority
- Misuse of Rollback can lead to its removal by any administrator
- Please read Help:Reverting and Wikipedia:Rollback feature to get to know the workings of the feature
- You can test Rollback at Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback
- You may wish to display the {{User wikipedia/rollback}} userbox and/or the {{Rollback}} top icon on your user page
- If you have any questions, please do let me know.

I think you've been mistaken. You think that this edit is considered vandalism. I was only saying to the user that he has a new message on my talk page. Nothing serious. Since everyone is human, and mistakes happen, I'll ask you to please not falsely accuse anyone of vandalism again. JeremyMcClean (Talk) 21:35, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

The X-Files
What vandalism? FisherQueen said I wasn't being disruptive. People apparently didn't like the several edits I made yesterday for whatever reason. Now my latest edit was NOT a reversion. I only made one of my edits from yesterday to see if people would like it. Why mention Millennium without also mentioning Carter's other series Harsh Realm? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.231.209.129 (talk) 22:44, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Why don't you change it right now? Wayne Olajuwon chat 22:51, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
It looks like someone just removed the Millennium mention, basically saying "prove it". OK, I won't put Harsh Realm in there. But I'd like to make other edits to the X-Files, and I hope you know that I am not trying to vandalize, I am trying to make good faith edits, and it's frustrating when people just delete without explaining why. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.231.209.129 (talk) 22:55, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

My Chemical Romance track listings on Two live albums.
I know it must seem as if i am attempting to vandalize the page, but I am in fact just trying to make it accurate. The song titled "It's not a fashion statement, it's a Deathwish" does in fact have the F-Word in the song title. It seems to be allowed on the album "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" i'm just not sure why it is considered vandalism on "The Black Parade is Dead" and "Venganza". I assure you i only was trying to help make the page accurate. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.182.77.221 (talk) 23:43, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that is vandalism. Don't stress yourself out by questioning if it is "blatant vandalism".. that's a bunch of crap because vandalism can be ambiguous. Use your gut instinct, but obviously take your time reverting and always be prepared to defend a revert if someone questions a revert, which they probably shouldn't. About your edits to Over (Drake song), censoring is required when pulling a direct quote in which the publisher censors the word. The only time you do not censor is when the original is not censoed. Article of the month – 2010 Carfax 400, a recent good article
The 2010 Carfax 400 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on August 15, 2010 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. Contested over 200 laps, it was the twenty-third race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season. The race was won by Kevin Harvick for the Richard Childress Racing team. Denny Hamlin finished second, and Carl Edwards, who started twenty-fourth, clinched third. Pole position driver Kasey Kahne maintained his lead into the first corner to begin the race, but Jimmie Johnson, who started in the second position on the grid, took the lead before the first lap was over. Afterward, Greg Biffle became the leader, and would eventually lead to the race high of 66 laps. Tony Stewart led after the final pit stops, ahead of Hamlin and Harvick. Harvick helped Hamlin to become the leader, but with twelve laps left, Harvick gained on Hamlin and claimed the first position with eleven lap remaining. Harvick maintained his position to claim his first Sprint Cup victory at Michigan International Speedway. There were five cautions and nineteen lead changes among nine different drivers throughout the course of the race, Harvick's third win of the season. The result maintained the first position in the Drivers' Championship and clinched him a position in the Chase. He remained 293 points ahead of second place driver Jeff Gordon and 353 ahead of Denny Hamlin. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, thirty points ahead of Toyota and sixty-one ahead of Ford, with thirteen races remaining in the season. A total of 105,000 people attended the race, while 4.917 million watched it on television. Yes it does! Wayne Olajuwon chat 23:24, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
some Huggle tips
Here's what I did to avoid accidentally hitting "q" (of course it still happens to me too once in a while):
- Avoid keeping your finger over the q button, except, and only except, during times of high levels of vandalism.
- Make sure the top slot (where it says "Page" next to a drop down list) matches the title on the diff screen.
- Try using only "r" key instead. This simply reverts the edit, but doesn't warn the user. Once it's reverted, you can still manually warn the user by clicking the triangle ! button.
- If you're ever unsure, use a custom summary. This way, 1. no one can accuse you of misusing it and 2.you are better to learn from mistakes.
Was this helpful? Tommy! 21:10, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
I tried to use the "r" key but it didn't revert. Wayne Olajuwon chat 21:13, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- It should. Also, you can always use "space." You will never, ever, ever get in trouble for missing a revert and skipping edits which you're unsure. ;) Tommy! 21:17, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Now it works. Wayne Olajuwon chat 21:17, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- Ok. keep those questions coming! Tommy! 21:20, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Myrtle Beach Pelicans
Some of the information on our page is INCORRECT. The roster is completely false. You may want to check your facts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.153.222.115 (talk) 20:08, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Cyber-bullying
Just lettin' you know that I'll be watching cyber-bullying, since you already hit the 3RR mark on that one. If edits are eligible for rolling back (i.e. blatant vandalism), 3RR doesn't apply. —Waterfox (talk) 21:04, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- Okay. Wayne Olajuwon chat 21:05, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- No, that's wrong. As long as you are reverting vandalism, it is not considered edit warring, and thus you cannot be blocked. Tommy! 21:33, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- It's true what you said that it's not considered edit warring because as long as I'm reverting vandalism. Wayne Olajuwon chat 21:35, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I was more talking to Waterfox. :P. Of course, you could have a whole page history of reverting, highly unlikely, but possible, but the user would not get blocked. Tommy! 21:42, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- It's true what you said that it's not considered edit warring because as long as I'm reverting vandalism. Wayne Olajuwon chat 21:35, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- It's true what you're saying, Tommy. Wayne Olajuwon chat 21:44, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
