Speedy deletion nomination of Ian stylezz
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ian stylezz, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Removal of References from Ian Stylezz
editWhy did you remove the references from Ian Stylezz? That makes your case for the article even weaker. I was about to contest the speedy deletion because you had made a credible claim of significance (which would still leave a weak article, but not one warranting speedy deletion). However, you have eviscerated your own article. Please consider restoring the removed content. You are working against yourself. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:48, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Robert....thanks for your help brother. The world needs more people like you. I am adding the information back as you read this. Give me 5 minutes. WbPubEnt (talk) 01:57, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Robert Robert McClenon (talk) I put everything back up....please work with me and point me in the right direction. Your help is sooo greatly appreciated buddy....thanks in advance. WbPubEnt (talk) 02:05, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
- Are you working for Ian Stylezz, or are you merely an enthusiastic fan? Please answer the question. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:09, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Robert McClenon (talk) No...I wish I knew him!!! Do I need to know him in order to put this up :-(((. He is cute but I don't think he would like another guy hitting on him...lol. I'm just a HUUUGGGHHH fan of his work that I've seen. He was the host at a fashion week in Chicago, Ill that I went to and I think he is such an approachable, down to earth guy. I have two other pages I want to make for some up coming entertainers....I just started with his and got all the issues. I've been studying and following his career for my reports in school for almost 4 months now. I'm a college student for film and one of our projects is to write a paper on upcoming actors and their career, next we have to write a short script and how we would use them and their abilities in a screenplay. The short must be written specifically for them. He has been on two of my favorite shows and after following his career he has a great story but I've deleted a lot because I'm not sure how much I could use. Do you think I could get closer to his agent through this article? It would be nice to get an autograph. PLEASE point me in the right direction with this...that would make my day. I want to start my own production entertainment company and maybe he will work with me one day. WbPubEnt (talk) 03:33, 30 May 2016 (UTC) <<<<<<<THIS ONE Robert McClenon (talk)
Robert McClenon (talk) Thanks for your help. I just saw what you posted. Now would I be a thorn in your flesh if I ask you how to do the other stuff you reference so that I can make it right AND the second question, would you be kind to monitor the other pages I'm making to ensure I am doing it right? Is there anyway you can reword the post to make it acceptable? WbPubEnt (talk) 03:33, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Robert McClenon (talk) I have made some corrections. PLEASE advise on what you think? Am I on the right track? WbPubEnt (talk) 03:33, 30 May 2016 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Ian Stylezz has been reverted.
Your edit here to Ian Stylezz was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://twitter.com/intent/follow?original_referer=https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons&ref_src=twsrc^tfw&screen_name=IanStylezz&tw_p=followbutton) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 02:47, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
--XLinkBot (talk) that was added back by mistake. I deleted both links just now....thanks soooo much for your help.
About Ian Stylezz
editHi WbPubEnt. I'm sorry to see that your Ian Stylezz got deleted. If you are still interested in writing an article about him, try the Article Wizard first, which will help you determine if the subject is suitable for Wikipedia. If you reach the end of the Wizard, use the first option of creating a draft in the draft space. Using this option will allow other editors to review the draft before it is published – if it has problems, it won't be deleted, but instead declined so that you can improve and resubmit. If you would like to continue working off of the deleted draft, you can contact Anthony Appleyard, the administrator who deleted the article, on his talk page to ask him to undelete your article and move it into the draft space for you to work on. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know on my talk page. Best of luck, Mz7 (talk) 14:58, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Mz7 (talk) I just read the deletion which isn't fair. So far I have meet two people like you on here that have a heart and try to help versus being quick to delete....sad. Thanks for all your help and I will contact him to ask him about this. Again thanks WbPubEnt (talk) 15:06, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
- You won't advice your case for an article by saying that the deletion "isn't fair". The deletion was entirely in accordance with Wikipedia policies. The two editors have tried to help, and you are spending as much of your time complaining as actually addressing the comments. Also, I asked whether you are a paid editor for Ian Stylezz or simply an enthusiastic fan. Since you didn't answer, I am now inclined to assume that you are an undisclosed paid editor. There is no sympathy on Wikipedia for undisclosed paid editors, who, in my opinion, should be banned. Either stop complaining and take the actual advice, including to put the article in draft space, and to answer a simple question, or understand that Wikipedia isn't the place to publicize your client. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:20, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Robert McClenon (talk) if you go back through our conversation, you will see that I answered your question to that. I said I am a fan. Go back through your conversation on yesterday. I am NOT a paid editor. I am a student at a film school. I stated my comment of not "being fair" as my opinion. One can't dictate another's opinion because they are trying to do something on a website that they don't understand fully. THIS is why I was asking for your help and was VERY appreciative of it. Please go back to our conversation yesterday and read it in it's entirety and you will see my response, questions and other conversation to you. WbPubEnt (talk) 15:30, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Robert McClenon (talk) another thing I just notice. WBPubEnt is my email address of what I want my future entertainment company to be. My name is Wayne Brown and I am a Film Student. I don't own a business and I don't know the guy. Matter of fact I can barely pay for school. I FINALLY got why you're asking the question and thinking I am a paid editor. IF you like, I can send all this from my other email. WbPubEnt (talk) 15:39, 30 May 2016 (UTC)

I'm on it Primefac (talk)....thanks for pointing me in the right direction. WbPubEnt (talk) 16:49, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
I did the correction Primefac (talk)....please advise. Thanks WbPubEnt (talk) 01:52, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- You have added no reliable sources that talk about Stylezz. IMDb is not considered reliable. You must add sources, such as newspapers, magazines, and reputable websites, that talk about him. See WP:REFB for information about adding the references in the body of the text (which we call inline citations). Primefac (talk) 05:06, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Primefac (talk) I did add articles. See the link in references. WbPubEnt (talk) 11:13, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Technically, you added external links, not references. However, that is exactly where those two should go, as official websites are PRIMARY sources and really only good as an external link, and IMDb is never acceptable as a reference (and only acceptable as an external link). Please see my above comments regarding reliable sources. Primefac (talk) 15:16, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
Primefac (talk), excuse my ignorance but you are confusing me. "You said in your response to me that, "Technically, you (I) added external links, (and) not references". In the section that is under the heading of "References", you will see that there are many "References" posted. Then you said, "However, that is "exactly" where those two (the information under the heading of "External Links"...the IMDb and official website) should go, as official websites are primary sources and really only good as an external link...that's where I have them listed. Then you said that "IMDb is "'never"' acceptable as a reference (and only acceptable as an external link)"....that's what I have it under, "External Links" not "References". I went to the link about reliable sources and I have submitted articles to support the page under the "References" sections. Help me out here because I am totally confuse on what you want me to do with your directions. I am working on two more articles BUT want to get this one right first so I will know what to do on the next. I think what you are telling me to do is already done. Please advise. WbPubEnt (talk) 22:35, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
Primefac (talk), I also see it saying that the page is an Orphan page because there isn't any sources connected to it. I did connected sources/newspaper clippings. Also, I'm trying to find out where do I add a picture. I am going off the guidelines and format off other pages on Wikipedia that I looked at as my foundation. WbPubEnt (talk) 22:40, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, so there is some confusion here. I am (and always have been) referring to the draft page at Draft:Ian Stylezz. You should not have created the page Ian Stylezz, especially after the draft was declined. So hopefully you can see why I made the comments I did; you said you added references, and I thought you meant to the draft (which you hadn't), and replied as I did.
- Now, in going through the references on the article itself, I find that none of them even mention Stylezz, let alone discuss him in any detail. Thus, my previous comments (and now the AFD) are still valid that there is a lack of reliable sourcing that discusses him specifically.
- As for the orphan tag: that is meant to say that there are no Wikipedia articles that link to Stylezz, not that there are no references. Basically, it means that no one would be on one article and say "who is Ian Stylezz?" and click the Wikilink. See WP:LINK.
- I by no means want to keep this article from being created, I just feel that at this point there is not enough to demonstrate that Stylezz has met the criteria of the Golden Rule, in particular that there is no significant coverage of him. If he continues to act, there is a good chance that he will receive more press coverage, at which time an article will be appropriate. Primefac (talk) 04:38, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
Primefac (talk) Could you delete my Wikipedia account? I am done with Wikipedia!!! WbPubEnt (talk) 13:45, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
- Unfortunately Wikipedia cannot delete accounts. If you wish to leave Wikipedia, simply stop using it. If you wish to not have this username associated with edits made in the past, then it is possible to request courtesy vanishing, which will rename your account to a random string of letters and numbers. However, I caution you that courtesy vanishing is permanent - if you ever want to come back to Wikipedia in the future, this is not the option for you.
- Having one article declined/deleted is not the end of the world, and Wikipedia is huge! There are tons of places where you could make a positive impact. Personally, I would suggest taking a break/time off from Wikipedia and thinking about it. Either way, I wish you the best, and I'm sorry things didn't work out for you with your article. References
editHello! I removed most of your references at Ian Stylezz ads they were bad references. Basically, if someone is in a television show or a film, you need a reference that leads to a page on the Internet with the name of the show and the name of the actor-- as a bare minimum. All of the TV show references you provided were just for the show, which only demonstrates that the show exists, not that the person was in the show. In any case, simple listings of the person being in the show are not great references. You need critical coverage for them to stay on Wikipedia. It looks like you are invested in getting this page onto Wikipedia. If I were you, I'd have a look at the WP:GNG gusideline and try to understand that, as it is really the only thing that matters. It all boils down to one quesiton: "are there about five or more published independent sources out there, in good publications, that say the subject of the article is important for something?" In the case of Ian Stylezz you have one good reference-- can you find four or five more? See also WP:RS. HappyValleyEditor (talk) 03:56, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
HappyValleyEditor (talk thanks for the information. Someone else helped me with those references. I see another person did the new references for me today. Thanks WbPubEnt (talk) 00:45, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Where did you get this image from?
editHi. I noticed that you uploaded this image File:Headshot - Ian Stylezz.jpg. May I know where did you obtain it from? You have not added any copyright information. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 10:12, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Lemongirl942 (talk) I got it from off his IMDb page. Do I need to do something? I uploaded it when I first started Wikipedia and was blindly making the page before I got the inputs. The photographer name was Kim Craven from Kim Craven Photography. WbPubEnt (talk) 00:42, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Lemongirl942 (talk) Can you or anyone delete everything that I was doing to include this account? Thnx WbPubEnt (talk)
