Adminship

Howdy, edit count is part of the criteria for becoming an admin (or, it was when I became one) but it is not the main criterion. Some may be more curious about the average number of edits over a given period of time (e.g. how active an editor is), while others might ignore edit count entirely. Other considerations would include how active an editor is in the "Wikipedia:" mainspace (e.g. participating in WP:AFD, WP:RFC etc.).
