Speedy deletion nomination of Yevgeny S. Levitin

edit

A tag has been placed on Yevgeny S. Levitin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This page is a hoax. Yevgeny S. Levitin never existed.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Galileo Galilei

edit

Hi... FWIW, I agree that the picture is okay in Galileo Galilei, but please be aware of the wp:BRD cycle. You boldly added an image. Someone reverted it. Now it's supposed to be your turn to discuss this on the article talk page, but instead you reverted again without a comment. Deviating from this cycle often leads to wp:edit warring and tends to result in users being wp:blocked. I though you might be interested in this. Cheers - DVdm (talk) 13:21, 5 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

The Galileo portrait was added for educational purpose, as the best picture of Galileo providing his real look. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Webaugust (talkcontribs) 14:49, 5 May 2016‎ (UTC)Reply
Please indent your talk page messages as outlined in wp:THREAD and wp:INDENT and sign all your talk page messages with four tildes (~~~~). Thanks.
Sure, but that was not my point. My comment was about how we collaborate here. - DVdm (talk) 14:55, 5 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
I understand, thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Webaugust (talkcontribs) 15:10, 5 May 2016‎ (UTC)Reply
No problem. Meanwhile I notice that you undid yourself ([1]). Good. As this is a good portrait indeed, I have added it in another article at Galileo affair#List of artistic treatments. Cheers - DVdm (talk) 16:06, 5 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Visual arts

edit

Hi Webaugust,

I saw your work on articles related to visual art and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch the WikiProject Visual arts talk page, which is a noticeboard for Wikipedia's fine arts coverage. It's a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to artists and fine arts. Take a look for yourself!

And if you're looking for other juicy places to edit, consider adopting a cleanup category or participating in one of our current formal discussions.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Welcome to Wikipedia! Hope to see you around. czar 23:34, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
