Weedwhacker128. Good work here. I just made a suggested heading change. I am sure you will revise it if you have a better solution. I see that like me (Perth), you are an Australian living in So Cal.Emargie (talk) 20:38, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for those changes, exactly what was required. He's my first real original page. Didn't realize he was going to be such a stinker when I started it (he abandoned his family in New Orleans when he came out here to go gold digging in '49, and there's some stuff about an Indian orphan girl he "adopted" that I haven't got to the bottom of). Fair use rationale for File:Gough Whitlam by Clifton Pugh 1972.png
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Gough Whitlam by Clifton Pugh 1972.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:28, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

American Idol
editGreetings, and thanks for helping to calm down the fracas at American Idol. Both JackJackUK and Hzh have been warned about edit warring. Technically JackJack is at 3RR, but since they have both at least tried to move this to the talk page, I'm willing to leave both at final warnings instead of outright reporting them. I've also asked for page protection to lock down the article for a couple of days to let them hash it out without continually disrupting the article. --McDoobAU93 18:41, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
IP Edit War
editI just reported the ip for violation of 3RR this has been going on for several days with no end in sight.Andrew Kurish (talk) 23:12, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
All Dogs go to Heaven 2 revert
editWhy did you revert my edit All Dogs go to Heaven 2? Please look at it again (It was made on 21:31, 14 June 2012). I made the edit one before (on 21:18, 14 June 2012), but ClueBot deleted it. Why is my edit seen as harmful? It's not like I covered the article with swear words of sexual references. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. --216.97.216.126 (talk) 21:53, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)You've been warned (and blocked) about vandalism enough times now so that your claim of ignorance rings hollow. Contribute constructively or don't contribute at all. --Jprg1966 (talk) 22:02, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi, please pay more attention to what you're reverting. I know Huggle makes it very easy to revert with minimal effort, but you are responsible for edits you make with it. In the case of Victoria Police, yes the editor was removing a large amount of content without an edit summary, but the content was mostly unsourced, was written in an extremely negative tone, and was arguably even libellous. If you encounter a situation like that in the future, please read the content and see if there might be a legitimate reason to remove it. Knee-jerk reverts in cases like this can cause a lot more work down the line. Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 05:50, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
- Okay. However, I would draw your attention to the entirety of that particular user's contribution to Wikipedia. I also noted the following cleanup of the section, and of course did not revert. I can assure you there was nothing knee-jerk about my revert, especially for that particular page. Weedwhacker128 (talk) 15:29, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:SidViciousNYC.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:SidViciousNYC.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 09:24, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. When reading a Wikipedia guideline, it's not a good idea to stop reading mid-sentence. The guideline says value-laden labels should be avoided "unless widely used by reliable sources to describe the subject, in which case use in-text attribution." (emphasis added) 107.10.236.42 (talk) 23:52, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not a big fan of loading up the lede with redundant citations for non-controversial statements such as the one under discussion. You may wish to take a look here where McVeigh, Rudolph, and many others are listed as terrorists. Weedwhacker128 (talk) 00:04, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- LOL Too bad for you that Wikipedia can't be cited as a source and that the "Lone wolf" article is woefully undersourced. If only Wikipedia had a policy about that. Oh wait! There are two: WP:NOR and WP:BLP. 107.10.236.42 (talk) 01:35, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Please read In-text attribution:
- In-text attribution is the attribution inside a sentence of material to its source, in addition to an inline citation after the sentence.
Thank you. 63.116.31.198 (talk) 17:52, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 10
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ian Standish Monteith Hamilton, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Telegraph. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disambiguation link notification for May 17
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1995–96 San Jose Sharks season, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Kevin Miller and Alexei Yegorov (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
