Yemeni League
editNo, sorry, I've never found a site to show the games. I can only ever find live scores on www.futbol24.com Druryfire (talk) 16:48, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
- Interesting, thanks for the links!! I can't read Arabic, but a google translation to me says that tomorrows game between Sha'ab Hadramut and Oruba appears to be cancelled due to some kind of fighting taking place in the city and a couple of other games have been moved/postponed.
The 2nd link talks about stopping people taking in video cameras, presumably so games can't be recorded or put over the internet because the TV CHannel (doesn't name an actually channel) must have first 'live' rights.
Good to see their website has news, it's been years that I could find any news on Yemeni football!!
I'll look to get these referenced into the season article Druryfire (talk) 22:08, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
I translated the following:
Committee approved competitions postpone the match number (26) within the fourth week of the Serie A match between Shab Hadramot and Aloroba which was held on Thursday, January 9th on the playground Baradem in Mukalla to date to be determined at a later date because of security conditions taking place in the province of Hadramout .
The Commission approved the transfer of Match # (30) within the fifth week between the two Ahli Sanaa and Ethad Ebb Stadium Shab Sanaa instead Stadium Almorisi at the same time on Monday, January 13 , and the transfer of Match # (32) within the fifth week between the two Alyarmok Shab Hadramot to 22Mayo Stadium in Sanaa instead Stadium Almorisi at the same time on Tuesday, January 14th due to the busy playground Almorisi celebration of Mawlid daily ( 13.14 ) in January. Druryfire (talk) 22:10, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
- CHANNEL MAEEN is the TV COMPANY - Hope this helps Druryfire (talk) 22:10, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I will, I'm planning on having a good update on that page tomorrow (if time persists). I like your recent edits, something I've been meaning to do for a long time, but every time I did someone reverted an deleted!! With your help we can make some good Yemeni articles. Druryfire (talk) 22:20, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
- HAHAHA, well done! unfortunately I can't watch because of work, but will help me in the future. Druryfire (talk) 13:14, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

Qatari league professional players
editHey, in response to your query, most of the time, any player who hasn't been capped for their own national team and has been living in Qatar for at least 3 years is considered a "non-professional" player. Each league team is allowed to have 4 professional players, and this quota applies in the AFC Champions League, but you can see that they field more than 4 foreigners on their team. This is because they're considered non-professional and were most likely already naturalized, e.g. Boualem Khoukhi, Luiz Jr or Karim Boudiaf. This is how I understand it, anyway. Now to answer your question, I do not have a definitive list of players whom are considered 'professionals', but quite often Al Kass and other news outlets list a team's professional players which is where I obtained most of the information. I could provide individual references if needed, as most of the time, the club websites only list professional players as foreigners and the rest are considered Qatari, eg. on Al Sadd's website. Maintenance tags
editHi,
please don't remove the maintenance tags unless you have eliminated the point of concern.
Particularly, Qatar football league system should not consist of just a table, this is bad style. If you look at other articles from the same series (see the respective navbox for details), you will notice that they all feature an introducing text, which helps avoiding confusion and provides an overview about (and the context of) the subject. As for the sources... in general, Wikipedia content needs to be sourced in order to avoid WP:OR claims. Surely, finding sources might be tricky here, but if you would include a statement about relegation/promotion from any website/book which meets WP:RS, that would be enough.
As for 2013–14 Lebanese Premier League, just add a reference for the begin and end dates (either by using the respective season page on Soccerway – for example, [1] – or any other reliable source), and that's about it. Hope this helps, Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 09:18, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
2014 Meistriliiga table Template
editTemplate:2014_Meistriliiga_table There is no need for that. There are no other articles that will use this table. These templates are used if there are articles of club seasons that use the table. There are no such thing about Estonian clubs so this template is pointless and should be deleted.
And these templates should be deleted after the season anyway. Check here: 2012–13 Bundesliga#League table.Klõps (talk) 21:07, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
Al Ahli/Al Sailiya
editYes, you're right. The only website I've checked up on lately is Al Kass; I didn't realize there was an article on the QSL website. I've updated the reference to the QSL article as it is more appopriate than an Arabic language reference. Many thanks. Elspamo4 (talk) 20:43, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
To answer your question...
editI lived in Qatar for 12 years. I moved there when I was 6. So I grew up watching football; I even attended some games. I got especially interested in Qatari football during the 2011 Asian Cup. Some people might not guess this, but it was one of the biggest events the country ever hosted. I became interested in the national team as well, I suppose because of the ethnic and cultural diversity it represented. And then, with all the big name players moving to the league in recent years, I started to become obsessed with the league haha. I still watch Qatari football matches online from the USA (on Al Kass' website). Keep up all the good work on editing football pages, BTW! Elspamo4 (talk) 09:32, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon
editHi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
