Who can be blocked
edit- Suggestion: Like the 3RR, there is no technical limit. The limit should be on users with 50 or less edits unless all of them are vandalism or they are abusing Special:EmailUser.Jasper Deng (talk) 03:32, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Process for obtaining permission
edit- Suggestion: Request for permission like for Rollback and file mover.Jasper Deng (talk) 03:32, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Name of permission
edit- Suggestion: "Moderator" (inaccurate), "Vandal fighter" (too generic), "Counter-vandalism patroller" and others are all on the menu.Jasper Deng (talk) 03:32, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Branding
editSorry for using such a crass word, but I think that's what the success or failure of this will boil down to. Much like political terms in real life (U-turn in the UK, for instance), some powerful dirty words have emerged on Wikipedia that tend to stop these proposals from gaining traction. They include "hat collecting", "adding more bureaucracy", "adding to a hierarchy" and "admin-lite". I'm not raising these points to be awkward, I'm raising them because if I don't, someone who believes in them will. In my experience, the best way to counter these arguments is to go on the offensive – attempt to discredit them as arguments before they are made. —WFC— 14:23, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
