Is there any way to prevent users from editing? Not really. There is a page protection method, but it has to be requested after specific articles are regularly, recently vandalized. They can either prevent all anonymous users from editing the page, or in extremes, prevent anyone from editing a page. A request for the former could be made easily, but it would have to demonstrate a good deal of recent vandalism for the proposal to be accepted. And I certainly would not even consider requesting the latter until you think that the article contains everything that you think it needs.
I will today try to set up a task force page for the new Left Hand Path task force. I do think that maybe seeing the religion banner as the biggest one there, and not a more specific "satanist" banner, might help prevent vandalism myself.
Also, I will try (eventually) to set up a specific Articles list for the task force so that all the articles can be monitored for vandalism regularly. This, however, will probably take quite a bit of time, as I am still in the process of creating all the other religion article lists as well and I'm trying to go through them article by article.
Which name would you prefer by the way: work group or task force? Both options are in current use, and I think it's probably best to be your call which one should be used. Also, is there a specific image you would like to see on the Left Hand Path tab?
By the way, if there ever arises a situation where you think that there may be a three reversion rule problem, contact me and we can try to get the matter resolved without anyone getting hurt. Badbilltucker 15:53, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Werewolf

So my housemate is telling me that the article on Luciferianism is incorrect. He is saying that the worship of Lucifer as the God of Heaven and Earth is a more correct definition of Luciferianism in the traditional sense. Do you have any insight into this?

In general, how can I support you? My housemate turns out to be an old-school Luciferian who is also LaVey-educated, so that's a plus. He's not online, but I am. Today is my housemate's birthday. He got rid of his library, so I'm giving him the Satanic Bible tomorrow from Borders. In any event, I'm crazy busy - but if you can give me specific tasks (or him, for that matter - through me) like copyediting for neutrality, or finding references (I'm very good at that), that would help me to help you. Just post on my talk page from time to time and I'll do my best.

It would appear that you found a giant WerewolfSatanist-shaped hole on Wikipedia. I've found several nina-shaped holes. It's going to take me a couple of years of solid editing and editor-gathering to fill the ones I've found in two months. Have patience - the project is as long as it is big. Need the name

I'm figuring to create the subproject page as soon as I get a clear idea as to whether you want it to be a task force or a work group. It will probably determine how any subsequent subprojects get named, and I don't think I'm the one who should decide that. There really isn't a difference other between the two, other than I guess the "ring" of the name. Pretty much WikiProject Military History started the idea, and they (or he, Kirill Lokshin), first called them task forces. The Biography project came next. They called their subprojects work groups, maybe thinking "task force" had too martial a rink to it, maybe some other reason. I dunno. I think the Novels project called their first subproject a task force, and Albums, Former countries, Guitarists, and Islam, have followed suit. (I just finished verifying the other subproject, by the way.) It looks like task force is the preferred one, but, again, I don't think I should be the one to make the call. As I indicated, I think "task force" is a little too militaristic. I'm not sure if I should say "thanks" for your choice, but I will anyway. Satanism on Wikipedia

I have written an article for the book Hail Satan which is a collection of Satanic poetry. A christian user on Wikipedia seems upset and zealous in his efforts to have the article deleted. He has accused the article of vanity, whereas the article reads unbiased. The user in question also argues notability, yet the traffic log for the article since May shows over 1,000 visits. The article has also been accused of lacking sources, yet since this accusation proper sources have been added. The behavioral pattern however is arbitrary meaning when vanity is addressed and leveled - notability is argued, when notability is addressed and leveled - sources are argued. On the surface this seems less to do with an encyclopedic article's pertinence to Satanism and the Occult and rather the concern of christian users on Wikipedia to silence modern representations of Satanism in literature.
