Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Legally Blonde 2 Full Cast. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.--Finalnight (talk) 03:20, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Your contributed article, NetForce (film) Full Cast
editHello, I notice that you recently created a new page, NetForce (film) Full Cast. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - NetForce (film). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at NetForce (film) - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Derild4921 23:53, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:OCSFC logo.JPG
editThank you for uploading File:OCSFC logo.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 00:57, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Orange County Science Fiction Club
editYou may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on Orange County Science Fiction Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 01:05, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Do you believe that you can prove that the club passes our notability standards? If so, I'll restore it, but only if you tell me that you believe so. I have my doubts — most clubs of this sort have no chance of being notable, so I'd like to make sure that you and I aren't wasting our time. Nyttend (talk) 22:13, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Still, local clubs of any sort, serious or not, are almost never notable; there are exceptions, but I doubt that your club is one. Do you believe that you can find and use multiple sources that are independent of the club, reliable for use, and secondary? If so, I'll restore it for you. Nyttend (talk) 23:26, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- First off — don't apologise for being persistent, because I was asking you to reply to me :-) Google is a good place to start your search. What I was asking you was "are there many places that discuss your club?", and if you find page after page that discusses your club, you're quite likely to find enough coverage to pass the notability test. Because you're confident that the club does have enough written about it, I've restored the article. As it stands, there's nothing on the page that shows that Wikipedia should have an article about it; therefore, I've moved it to User:Wesomniman/OCSFC. Pages in your userspace can't be deleted simply because they don't show why the topic is notable; therefore, you should have plenty of time to improve the article. When you've added enough sources to demonstrate that the club is worthy of an encyclopedia article, please move it back to Orange County Science Fiction Club; however, please don't move it there until you've added the sources. Thanks for your persistence, and please feel free to ask me for help if you ever need it. Nyttend (talk) 01:13, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:OCSFC logo framed.JPG
editThanks for uploading File:OCSFC logo framed.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:05, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

- I understand the need for a neutral opinion and while I am a part time attendee to the club I feel that anything that I wrote has been fairly neutral. Therefor, though as I say I feel that I have been neutral in the information I've contributed, I hope someone less associated with the the OCSFC will edit our page.
- Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Orange County Science Fiction Club, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Dravecky (talk) 12:02, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- Dravecky, I want to thank you for your help and trying to make the page better, but I deleted some of those reference links because they did not go to any place that mentioned OCSFC. For instance this reference link, number 7, [1] does not go to a site that mentions us or even the author, James Blaylock that link is a reference for. Dead reference links was something specifically mention that was bad about the article, so I was trying to get rid of the bad ones, which I still believe need to go, and put in good reference links. Also, it was mentioned that all the article talks about is the famous people we have come and did not elaborate on what the club did. So I added a couple lines telling how we have member discussions/debates on space travel, aliens, Science Fiction, Science, the future etc and you apparently deleted that. So I was only following the suggestion of others in removing usless links and adding more activities the members do. Why is what I did wrong? Thank you for you time.
