Request reason:

I am new to wikipedia. I see this Pastorwayne person has had a lot of trouble. I do not want to in anyway follow in his footsteps. Please guide me so that I can do things properly here. I am not sure why this block has happened. But tell me what I did to receive it (so I can stop doing that) and should do to reverse it (and avoid in the future).

Decline reason:

There looks like a good case here for your being a sockpuppet of Pastorwayne. Spartaz Humbug! 21:49, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment – I had already noted on Good Olfactory's talk page (heading - PW) that West Bishop is Pastor Wayne (similarity of edits - burials, UM bishops, creating and placing articles in categories, no edit summaries). Eg James Osgood Andrew has been edited by PastorWayne, Estherlois, Valleyforge1979, all PW socks (and user:72.69.200.51 who is another PW sock, previously undetected). There are also the deleted categories Category:Preacher's Kid and Category:Preacher's Kids which I understand were created by PW / West Bishop resp (as I am not an admin I cannot be sure of this). • Comment (blocker). What Occuli has outlined above was essentially my thinking in deciding that this was a sockpuppet of Pastorwayne. There are many similarities in the editing style and subjects of editing. Pastorwayne has used many different sockpuppets and each time they have been identified these same markers have showed up: early editing in category space and adding articles to categories; adding burial places to bio articles; editing articles about American Methodist clergy; lack of edit summaries; subdividing categories about American Christian clergy into finer and finer subcategories. And yes, I can confirm that Category:Preacher's Kid was created by Pastorwayne and Category:Preacher's kids was created by this user. Good Ol’factory (talk) 21:45, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello West Bishop! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 688 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. John K. Yambasu - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
