Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Sophie Wright (actress)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Sophie Wright (actress), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Help me!

Please help me with... I am the author of this page. The subject of the page Sophie Wright has asked me to delete the page because she is no longer in the entertainment industry. She is now a Psychologist and wishes to pursue her career without the possibility of clients researching her background. Sophie Wright (actress) WhWI6578 (talk) 23:21, 8 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Notability isn't temporary. In situations where notability is in a gray area, the wishes of the subject might be taken into consideration at a articles for deletion discussion. However, at this point, even if the article is deleted, it's too late; it's inevitably been copied all over the internet, and Wikipedias' unique copyright situation limits what we can do about that. There's even a "deletionpedia" that copies articles that have been deleted, and WebArchive probably has various editions of the article as well. To rephrase, clients will be able to research Wrights' past even without a Wikipedia article; deletion from Wikipedia would be simply false security.
A greater concern to the community is that you didn't disclose that Wright is your client and writing the article was part of your job in a spot that would be easy to find (your userpage, or on Talk:Sophie Wright (actress)). Disclosing is required to avoid an account block, per the terms of use of the website. Just copy and paste at least one of the following, replacing "Your firm, or Sophie Wright" with either your place of employment, or if Wright paid you directly, her name:
  1. {{Paid|employer=Your firm, or Sophie Wright|client=Sophie Wright|article=Sophie Wright (actress)}} on User:WhWI6578.
  2. {{Connected contributor (paid)|User1=WhWI6578| U1-employer=Your firm, or Sophie Wright|U1-client=Sophie Wright|U1-EH=yes}} on Talk:Sophie Wright (actress). I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 00:37, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
