Hello, Jason Bennett is a contemporary Method acting teacher and the page simply states facts about the training his school provides in New York. It isn't appropriate to delete facts from the Method Acting page that will help people learn more about Method Acting, and its evolution in 2006. Also, I moved your talk comment to the bottom of the page. That's where it belongs. Now you're entry is on the page twice, on the top and bottom. I'll put it back on the bottom where it belongs. Your personal campaign against the truth violates Wikipedia's policies. Please direct your energies in a way that is consistent with Wikipedia NPOV and Civility and do not edit out facts that help people learn about Method Acting and its evolution to what is now current. Nowhere does it state that Jason Bennett is as good as anyone you admire. You are projecting you own opinions onto the article. That isn't appropriate for Wikipedia. By the way, I personally don't believe Bobby Lewis is as "august" as the others on the page, including Jason Bennett. But I would never edit out what you've written, no matter how much I disagree. Jason Bennett is like the others in that his work is original - but his is current. There are not many method acting teachers whose work is original, or current. Other contemporary teachers do not do any original work, so that's why I didn't include them in my edits. However, you are free to include whomever you wish. But don't decide that your opinion is the only one that matters and take away valuable reading about Method approaches that is modern and contemporary. It isn't consistent with Wikipedia policy. And your accusations are inappropriate as well, see Wikipedia CIVILITY policies. Sgactorny 15:42, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Hello, Please provide some published works about acting by Laura Esterman or a biography from somewhere that explains how she has contributed to the advancement of actor training. All the other people on this page have done this, but I can't seem to find anything anywhere about Laura Esterman, except that she is a common acting teacher at a few schools. Please prove otherwise, or she will need to be removed from the page, because the page should be limited to people who have contributed original works to the field. I also don't believe you can show Susan Batson has done any original work, but at least she formed a school, so I won't press that one. Sgactorny 15:17, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
Also, what evidence do you have that Susan Batson and Laura Esterman combine the methods of other teachers? Do they use archetype work? Because otherwise your edits make no sense. Still waiting for your proof and references. Sgactorny 03:28, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
Hey, Back off pal. I don't have to prove anything to you. I believe there are any number of acting teachers I could legitimately add to this page as examples of current teachers of "the method" which, as you must know, is completely open to interpretation. Are you concerned about having your own presence diluted? You're just confirming my worst first impressions.
Speaking of published works, a search of Amazon brings up nothing for Jason Bennett. A Google on him brings up nothing but his own pages.
Please Help
editHello, I am a New York actor and I agree with you completely that Jason Bennett does not belong in the lists with famous actors and acting teachers. Yet he keeps putting himself there. Would you please go to his page (Jason Bennett) and vote for deletion? Thank you. Tree Trimer 19:12, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
