Regarding this edit: Starbucks did not remove that link; I did. I felt it went against the spirit of Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:External links's discussion on links giving undue weight to one point of view. You will notice that my edit also excised a pro-Starbucks link of equal inappropriateness. See also: Talk:Starbucks#Anti-Starbucks sites as external links. Please watch what you insinuate, and assume good faith. You should also note that the pickyguide link is a deadlink. [EDIT:] Never mind on that last bit. It doesn't seem to be 404'ing anymore.] --Dynaflow babble 20:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- You must have been referring to this edit from back in May. Given the fickleness of that link, it's possible the link was also 404'ing when this IP-user tried to click through ("rem broken, idiotic link"), and so he or she might have been trying to be helpful. I looked through that IP's edit history, and I don't see terribly much in the way of concerted campaigns of corporate astroturfing, beyond a bit of workplace boosterism. I have, however, added a template to the IP user's Talk page so that, if any questionable edits are made by it in the future, other editors will know they came from a Starbucks corporate IP. --Dynaflow babble 20:50, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
