In my opinion the description is too long as suggested and gives the complete plot with details, thus ruining the reading for someone who has not read the book. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.238.67.177 (talk) 03:51, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
That it might be—it's not really my area of expertise. Still, large amounts of blanking without an edit summary will inevitably draw attention from those on anti-vandal duty. To quote from WP:SPOILER (a Wikipedia guideline), "It is not acceptable to delete information from an article because you think it spoils the plot." That said, the structure of the article could be an acceptable reason to remove large parts of an article, but it would probably be a better idea to either move the information to its own section instead of moving it entirely or seek consensus on the article's talk page.
Also, please do remember to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes in a row (~~~~). SineBot will generally automatically add it for you if you forget, but it's still a good idea to do so. Recon Etc (talk) 03:59, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Idly curious - why the revert? Is there another R.C. church in town? Last I checked, they endured some consolidation due to dwindling congregations.
Assuming the change to a proper noun of the local R.C. church strikes me as a mildly strange bad faith knee-jerk judgement. If I am wrong, it a lot more polite to just say, "hey buddy, you are wrong, and this is why". :) 75.185.14.171 (talk) 05:20, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
It wasn't so much the proper noun as it was a change to the name. I thought I had used the template to point out that it wasn't properly cited (and in most cases using that will prompt the editor to just redo the edit with a cite, which is a lot easier (for me, anyway) when dealing with things like small towns where using a local text or newspaper to cite could be much easier than searching on the web), but apparently I accidentally used the template for generic unconstructive editing / vandalism. By way of apology I've gone ahead and simply added the citation myself to the changes you made, so you can see how a citation for this would normally look. My bad. Recon Etc (talk) 05:53, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I understand why it approached in that manner better now. 75.185.14.171 (talk) 06:02, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Please consider providing an alternate comment, so we may resolve this issue soon. Thanks. Chaipau (talk) 10:31, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Kindly disregard. I did not notice the "change", just the removal of your comment. Thanks. Chaipau (talk) 10:43, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. I'm not too familiar with the subject matter, as I noticed the whole thing while doing anti-vandalism duty and seeing a massive flood of changes from "Lower Assam" to "Western Assam" and then subsequently following the trace back. Still, if there's anything else I can do to help, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll try to do what I can. White Ash (talk) 10:58, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your offer. I did try to revert the changes, but the reverts were reverted! So I thought it best to involve a Wikipedia institution, and reported it here: Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#.22Lower_Assam.22_is_derogatory. I have provided references etc there, which you may kindly review. Please do consider participating in the thread. Chaipau (talk) 11:37, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

Karoo ISP edit --83.100.158.252 (talk) 12:29, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
My edit was correct the PoP belonged to Daemon internet so it is Daemon Internet's PoP — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.100.158.252 (talk)
- While that particular grammatical correction might be true, your edit also changed "PoP" to "poo", which is clearly unacceptable. The grammatical change in question has already been restored. White Ash (talk) 12:36, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
Awhh you noticed that then :( ...sorry --83.100.158.252 (talk) 12:39, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
Kidbrooke
Hi there
I think you may have assisted. I just wanted to edit the famous inhabitants section of Kidbrooke (Nick Love) grew up on the Ferrier Estate in Kidbrooke (he is a film director) he has just finished directing The Sweeney — Preceding unsigned comment added by Turntellydown (talk • contribs) 12:43, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- In this case, you'd just want to edit that section, so you'd just scroll down to the "Notable Inhabitants" section, click the "Edit" link, and change accordingly. For instance, you might change it to look something like this:
Famous residents have included comedian Jim Davidson, who grew up in Holburne Road; interior designer Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen, who lived in a bungalow on Kidbrooke Park Road until 2004; singer Sandie Shaw; English West Ham United player Junior Stanislas; and director Nick Love.
- Be careful not to accidentally remove content—blanking out most of the page will get your edit promptly reverted. If you think you have a handle on this, though, go ahead and try editing again. Good luck! If you have any other questions you can ask me, or consult the various resources for help that Wikipedia has to offer. White Ash (talk) 12:58, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

Hello,
i noticed you edited a Mixed Martial Arts page in August, but you haven't listed yourself as a Participant on the Wikiproject for Mixed Martial Arts pages. I've decided to try to drum up interest to get more people involved!
