Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:Opinoso‎. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 01:01, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Time for you to stop and think

edit

On this edit of yours:

  1. "He is a COWARD, that's why he has deleted my MESSAGE." -- Anyone can delete any message from his or her own talk page for any reason, or no reason at all.
  2. "You are a LIER." -- If you must call somebody a liar, you'll look less silly if you spell it right. But see the message above on the matter of calling somebody a liar.
  3. "You are NOT Brazilian, nor you have Italian or African ancestry" -- As you point out later, we're all of African ancestry. Whether any editor is Brazilian or of Italian ancestry is by the way. Mongolians are welcome to edit articles on Brazil; Brazilians are welcome to edit articles on Mongolia.
  4. "There is no "white" man or "western" world. These are social constructs." -- You don't explain how being a social construct is incompatible with existence after construction.
  5. "I bet you don't speak as many languages as I do." -- He's more likely to believe this when you demonstrate your proficiency in them, perhaps by the intelligent citation and summarizing of relevant, disinterested, academic papers written in them.
  6. "He may even work for foreign governments or foreign agencies." -- Talk like this tends to make a laughing stock out of the person who utters it.

Now, do you want to make much-needed improvements to this and related articles? If so, please approach the matter (which is the article, not its other contributors) like a rational adult. -- Hoary (talk) 01:36, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

"AfroLusoTupiBrazilianNationalist"

edit

You're starting to sound as if you might be amenable to reason, but you haven't yet either (a) provided any evidence to support your complaints or (b) said anything constructive. Can you give me any good reason not to block you as an illegitimate return of indefinitely blocked "AfroLusoTupiBrazilianNationalist"? -- Hoary (talk) 00:48, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for being an unauthorized reincarnation of indefinitely blocked "AfroLusoTupiBrazilianNationalist". If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Opinoso and his dictatorship

edit

Hi

There is no way I could post contributive posts related to Brazilian themes as Opinoso does not let any Brazilian to do so, only if he - Opinoso - agrees with the content there is a chance he will let the posts pass. Generally, he has the blessing of the English Wikipedia administrators, it seems (just by checking his past fights I can conclude that). The way he presents Brazilians is not a Brazilian way, it is a foreing way, which is being clearly imposed. Check his past posts. He has mocked Brazilians, he has shown bias, he has removed quotes from leading Brazilian genetic experts, among many other things. A warning must be given to Brazilians who come to enrich Brazilian related themes: there is someone out there who controls Brazilian topics (a FOREIGNER who says he is Brazilian).

If you want to improve articles, then apply to have your block lifted and then improve articles. If you want to complain about serious incidents of "ownership" of or falsification in articles, then provide clear, scrupulously sourced evidence for your claims and make a calm, cool, concise complaint here. If you can't be bothered to do any of that and instead just want to wave your arms in despair and/or inspire Brazilians or others to insurrection, you're free to do all of this and more -- on some other website, perhaps your own blog. Dear Hoary,

I am not coming back. I won't edit Brazilian topics, I cannot alone clear all the wrongdoings of Mr. Opinoso. It would be great to know that Wikipedia is really a free encyclopedia and that Brazilians will have their saying in their topics too. I wanted to let a message so that Brazilians who see it know it. You can check Mr. Opinoso's page. He says he is Brazilian - but he is not. Nothing has happened to him. He has deleted messages - at his free will, called out "vandalism" many well intentioned posts, etc. It is heartbreaking to see that this is happening. I can only hope that Brazilians - and I hope people from all over the world - will have more freedom at wikipedia (not that Vandalism should be allowed).

I am sorry for the wrongdoings I may have committed I can only tell you that the inspiration came from the very bad behaviour of Opinoso

You seem to be a nice guy Good luck and cheers WielandDerSchmitzFreiheit WielandDerSchmitzFreiheit (talk)

He has deleted messages: Anyone may delete any message on his own talk page, for any reason or for no reason. It's usually wrong to delete messages elsewhere. If anyone has deleted any messages improperly, let's see the "diffs" for this. -- Hoary (talk) 13:25, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I know that, I was referring to messages improperly deleted, arbitrarily deleted. And he does not accept when his messages are deleted. He has had many fights with other posters from what I have seen from his past (and he was almost always given the blessing by the wiki moderators).

Just a minor example of this thuggish way, he wanted Ukrainian Jews to be listed at the Ukrainian Brazilians page, which is abut ethnic Ukrainians who immigrated to Brazil, not Ukrainian Jews. Ukrainian Jews do not identify themselves as ethnic Ukrainians, and these populations are known for having had huge conflicts in the past(regardless of who is right). When someone contested him he accused the person of having something "against Jews". Not that he could not call it "Anti Semitism", but it was his arbitrary way that stood out. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ukrainian_Brazilian&offset=20080626155123&action=history

There are many other examples. The history of the German Brazilian page, or the Japanese Brazilian the English Brazilian pages, have also plenty examples of that.

I find tranquility in that he cannot change objective reality with his wrongdoings. However it is uncomforting to know that wikipedia isn't as free as it should be.

Cheers. WielandDerSchmitzFreiheit WielandDerSchmitzFreiheit (talk)

You say he deleted messages. Now you say you were "referring to messages improperly deleted, arbitrarily deleted". You give no diffs whatsoever, and instead give the history of a page, a history that ended well over a year ago. ¶ And now: There are many other examples. The history of the German Brazilian page, or the Japanese Brazilian the English Brazilian pages, have also plenty examples of that. If you're too busy to provide specific examples, I'm certainly too busy to look for them. ¶ Wikipedia is free for you or anyone else to edit on the strength of reliable sources. Appeal your block and go right ahead. And until you do that, I shall write no more. -- Hoary (talk) 13:52, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I see. It is fine by me. I also don't have the time to collect all the evidence however clear his behaviour and his agenda are. I promise I won't be back. Don't worry.
