Wiki4Blog, you are invited to the Teahouse
editHi Wiki4Blog! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Greetings Wiki4Blog. I noticed you have used my WP:STiki tool to revert vandalism on the encyclopedia. The software sets certain thresholds for usage, namely that an account have 1000+ article edits or have specially delegated permissions. While your changes appear constructive and well-intentioned, your account meets neither of these criteria, so I am curious how access was obtained. Are you, (1) using a really old version of the software?, (2) using the API or IRC to see the scores being produced, and then manually undoing changes and writing an edit summary that mentions STiki? (3) modifying the source code to circumvent these thresholds?, or (4) ???. If you do have good intentions, it would probably be best to obtain access via conventional/approved avenues. Thanks, West.andrew.g (talk) 06:19, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hello West.andrew.g! I am so sorry! I downloaded the version of April, 2012, and used it. I won't use it again. Very, very sorry, please do not mind. Thank you! Wiki4Blog (talk) 11:59, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- No no, don't consider yourself at fault here. I see that we added the version with permission requirements in June 2012. Your use of the tool seemed quite legitimate and intelligent, and based on that, I might be willing to grant you special access rights to use the *current* version (as I quite often do; file a request at WT:STiki). Where were you able to obtain this older version of the code? You can see how this might be a problem, i.e., if a malicious user were to get their hands on an older copy. Thanks, West.andrew.g (talk) 15:30, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Ok thanks! The fact was that I was a vandalism remover at Wikia and I had kept a copy of each Wikipedia vandal reversion tool, like Huggle, Twinkle code, STiki, and things like that, if I ever came to Wikipedia. It was perhaps downloaded in early September, 2012 (I amn't pretty sure). Thank you for providing me encouragement and over the days that pass I will be one of the great Wikipedians. I will contribute to this project loyally. Thank you once again! And BTW, I just filed a request at STiki Noticeboard. Wiki4Blog (talk) 15:45, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Can you point to me a username/project/etc. on Wikia that demonstrates this experience you speak of (you can email it to me privately if you think it might be a privacy concern to post here)? Provided that, I'll be happy to approve the account. Thanks, West.andrew.g (talk) 19:28, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, I am emailing it. Thanks! Wiki4Blog (talk) 11:25, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- These two edits and this user talk page section should help to demonstrate this user's experience level. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 15:43, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

moter cycles
editthe earth | |
you should get a moter cycle because one it gives off half the exzost as a car dose. two you will look better on it and last you can save more trees by taking up less road. see? good. Shella125 (talk) 20:20, 25 January 2013 (UTC) |
- What a English :) Must be praised. Anyway I thought using motor cycles would result in pollution and by taking "less road" how do I save trees? Wiki4Blog 09:28, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
