editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Red Circle Authors, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. John from Idegon (talk) 22:02, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
Source for Mishima's anti-Marxist views
editHi,
I saw you left a source for the passage about Mishima's criticism of Marxism on his wiki page (https://www.rferl.org/a/inside-the-soviet-kgb-s-secret-war-on-western-books/29894541.html). I want to thank you, but I remain unconvinced.
I read the passage about Sun and Steel in the article; and I understand from this that he was deemed anti-Marxist by default, as he "promote[d] the so-called neo-samuraiism". There is a huge difference between "fiercely" criticizing Marxist ideologies and being described as anti-Marxist by the secret services of USSR - a politicaly motivated agency.
The phrasing of the passage on Mishima's wiki page implies he, well, fiercely criticized Marxism, not that he was described as such by KGB because he promoted another ideology.
If the article is the only source, then the passage should be rephrased as "Considered anti-Marxist by the KGB" - which is exactly what is described by the article.
What do you think?
