regarding your edits to American Council for Cultural Policy

I don't have any knowledge of this association, but I reverted your edits because they drastically changed the article without providing sources. If you can provide sources that say the council closed, please feel free to re-edit the article.

Please do not seriously alter the article's content. If you feel the information is seriously of concern, try arguing your position on the article's talk page Talk:American Council for Cultural Policy. Also please bear in mind while editing to use a neutral point of view and cite sources which maintain the article's verifiability, which were both of some concern with your previous edits. First of all my recommendation for discussion does make sense due to the nature and extremity of the edit you are making. Second of all if you have serious issue with the content of that article it would be beneficial to discuss this on the talk page or contacting Wikipedia directly. Libel concerns should be addressed through official statements from the organization or representatives like yourself and not through demanding editors not to edit the content that you inserted into the article.¤~Persian Poet Gal ^(talk) 22:47, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm really sorry to hear about the ACCP's closing. However, Wikipedia policy states that:

  1. Articles should contain only material that has been published by reliable sources.
  2. Editors adding new material should cite a reliable source, or it may be challenged or removed by any editor.
  3. The obligation to provide a reliable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it.
  (from Wikipedia's verifiability policy).

Because someone could easily pretend to be affiliated with the ACCP, reliable third party sources must be included when adding new material. I do note that the ACCP website seems to be down at this time, which could be a sign that the association has closed.
