Hi Fettlemap Thank you for the welcome! I am new to Wikipedia and I'm a librarian. I am still learning my way around Wikipedia, but in the future, I want to help support students and faculty in higher education, both as consumers and contributors to Wikipedia. Any advice is welcomed!!

User page

edit

You obviously meant for your sandbox draft to be a user page, so I moved it to user space for you rather than treating it as the AFC draft that it technically was. If you have any further questions about it, ask at the Teahouse. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:58, 8 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: sandbox (August 18)

edit

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Sb2001 was: Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

@Sb2001: Why am I named here? --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:35, 18 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
User:Redrose64: I wanted to put you in touch with this editor, as I know that you are involved with meet ups. I thought that you might be of more assistance to the article they submitted, which seemed to evidence them trying to arrange one. This had me banned from reviewing AfCs, but that is just how it is. Anyway, are you able to offer Wikisbaldiva some advice? –Sb2001 talk page 22:41, 18 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
User:Redrose64: I do not think you need to trouble yourself further. I realized that I need to add the Native American Indian Heritage meetup to the Wikipedia:meetup page. I was attempting to submit it as an article, but I was wrong. Thank you for checking in anyways! --Wikisbaldivia (talk) 21:40, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Wikisbaldivia, I noticed your article was declined at Articles for Creation, and that can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there! Sb2001 talk page 18:11, 18 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

AfC rejection

edit

I would like to know why you did not ask me as the person who left the comment at your AfC when you did not understand what I was saying. Actually, I was giving you some very helpful advice. Asking someone else will not get you the answers when I am the now who will definitely know what I meant to say. Anyway, good luck with your editing—I cannot do as much not, as my rights have been reduced for giving you an 'unintelligible' piece of advice. Please let me know of why you did not ask me for help. I will be watching your page, to make this easier for you. –Sb2001 talk page 20:37, 18 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Sb2001: You suggested I go to the real-time chat for advice. I reviewed your talk page and realized that this isn't an uncommon response to your edits, but I'm hoping to be clear in my communication, so this is a learning experience for all. I'm not certain we can gain anything from a protracted dialogue, so I won't be responding further in this thread. I wish you well! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikisbaldivia (talkcontribs) 21:41, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
No: the discussions to which you are referring are about your submission and one other (on which—by the way—I spent an hour improving). I would have been able to help you in arranging your meet up and explain my comments further. It is not your fault that you missed this as the preferred route. Actually, my edits are generally very well-received. I am willing to help/advise you, but I do not think that you should be commenting on other users' talk pages. Especially when you are not looking in sufficient detail. –Sb2001 talk page 22:15, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Please accept our apologies for the above comment, Wikisbaldivia. This is not the behaviour we expect from article reviewers. Sb2001 was recently removed from our list of approved article reviewers and they will be subject to disciplinary measures if they leave you further messages of this type again. You're most welcome to come and use the real-time chat system as you did previously, there, the helpers there will provide as much assistance as is possible. Sorry!

edit

I would like to take the opportunity to apologise to you for my previous contributions to this page. They were improperly considered, and not the way in which I should have been communicating with somebody who had just had an AfC submission rejected. I hope that you were not too offended. Let me know if you would like any help/advice. –Sb2001 talk page 20:28, 26 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
