Moved "NLM Associate Fellows Edit-a-Thon Project May 2019" back into userspace
editHi Winelibrarian, I have moved this back into your userspace - it is now under User:Winelibrarian/NLM Associate Fellows Edit-a-Thon Project May 2019. Wherever this is supposed to go, I am positive it is NOT article space, where it will be searchable, indexed etc. - just like any WP article. I suspect it may be supposed to remain in your userspace. Are you in contact with someone who knows the particulars of this part of the gig? --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 20:51, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Susanne Humphrey-thoughts and improvements
editThanks for this article! A few thoughts...
- The article needed a basic introduction before dropping into the first section (which will be preceded by a table of contents).
- I'm not sure an entire section on her death was necessary, unless there was something particularly interesting about how she died?! I've changed it to "personal life" and put in a mention of her husband, which seems more balanced.
- The article needed a bit more formatting at the end: I've added a reference list, an "authority control" tag (linking to her writings on library catalogues), a "defaultsort" tag (so she appears under 'H' for Humphrey rather than 'S' in alphabetised listings) and two relevant categories. I see another editor has put a tag on the talk page marking it as a biography article and marked the article as reviewed.
Hope that all makes sense! Blythwood (talk) 17:02, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
Jalonne White-Newsome moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Jalonne White-Newsome, does not show notability . If she is notable at all, it's as a scientist. This requires listing her published work, and showing that it is influential, which is normally by means of citations. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's guidelins and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Maria Josepha Meyer
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Maria Josepha Meyer, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. (See section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
