editHello! Your submission of Mother Mary Corona at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there at your earliest convenience. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Ergo Sum 01:14, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Win, I will take care of this. Hope all is well! Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 04:50, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- I have a question brought up by the DYK review: Is there any information about the ban on Catholic students in Stiefermann? If so, could you add it as a source? If not, we should remove it and I'll create another hook. I already removed the quote the reviewer has problems with. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 04:58, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi again Win, as per your email, thanks for sending me your sources. Stiefermann is very clear that M. Corona became involved in teacher education and that building Alverno College was necessary because of the federal requirement for teacher certification, but the wording in the article makes it sound like the ban came from the secular universities and not due to the pope's demands, as Stiefermann suggests. I'm wondering, then, if this wording might be better: "The move to train and certify teachers and allow lay people to attend Alverno was also motivated by the reluctance, as expressed by the Vatican, to encourage Catholic educators, both lay and religious, to attend secular institutions."
- What do you think? If it's okay, please go ahead and add it or your own version if you can come up with something you prefer. Then I'll go ahead and revise the hook. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 16:56, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Christine,
- Yes, your insertion makes more sense. I replaced the one I had with yours.
- Thanks so much!!!!!

DYK for Mother Mary Corona
editOn 21 September 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mother Mary Corona, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that even though Mother Mary Corona received no formal teacher training, she was the president of Alverno Teachers College? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mother Mary Corona. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Mother Mary Corona), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
