License tagging for Image:Mic Wright.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Mic Wright.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot (talk) 12:07, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} I've just read the 'Wikipedia:Five pillars' - this article - Mic Wright does not appear to contravene any of them - yet it is subject to the censor and warnings dsiplayed on the page. It is not dissimilar to other articles of this type.

Why is this article not appropriate?

The guideline you want is the notability guideline, which we use to decide whether or not the encyclopedia needs an article about a subject. To show that he's notable, just add sources- three is a good number- articles about him and why he is an important journalist, coverage of the important awards he has won, that sort of thing. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:05, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mic Wright Note about cleaning up the article

edit

As promised I have done some work on the article this evening. I have 'wikified' it which means I have added internal links and sorted out the formatting. I have also referenced the text using the links you provided and also found another one which verifies Mik's current position. As the article has been now been copyedited by an independent editor and the major facts have been sourced I have removed the COI tag. Kind regards, nancy 19:41, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
