This page was created due to interest on the List of NCAA college football rivalry games discussion. Most of these games have been contested nearly 100 times. ECU is new to the rivalry, but NC State and ECU have played many times the last 40 years, and the series is expected to continue. These are all in-state schools, but they are (correctly) labeled rivalries among North Carolinians.Wolfpackfan1234 (talk) 02:05, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

NCSU and UNC have rivalries that can be easily sourced in 3rd party sources as do NCSU and ECU to a lesser extent. Those rivalries can be well covered in the articles for those teams. Duke and ECU? Wake Forest and Duke? These are not hotly contested rivarlies, they share only the state in their address and in cases outside of ECU, a conference membership. Without sources backing up these claims, the article will be deleted. I dont see how an article dedicated to the state can meet notability guidelines--RadioFan (talk) 02:08, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

In the List of Atlantic Coast Conference rivalries, you can see that the NC ACC schools have an intense rivalry, and there are some reasons listed for all. I can see how ECU could be left, and I would be willing to take them out of this article, but give me time and I can find sources for the ACC rivalries.Wolfpackfan1234 (talk) 02:19, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
