Dear Wikipedia,
Joseph Priestley did not leave for America in April of 1793, but rather in April of 1794, as one might think likely in the article, which has his sons leaving before him in August of 1793. I found that page 182 of The Growth of American Thought, by Merle Curti, Harper and Brothers, 1943, has Priestley coming to Pennsylvania in 1794. The Encyclopedia Britannica, 15th Edition, 1973-74 Macropedia Volume 14, page 1014 says that Priestley and his wife followed their sons in April of 1794. I apologize for not being up to making this change myself, but hope that some savvy person will be able to make the change, which is really the correction of a simple error.
All the best, Tom
