Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you.  Abhishek  Talk 13:57, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Tafeax. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I have restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.   Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to List of tallest buildings in Kolkata, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 19:27, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

While I will happily wait for you to gather citations...

Few of your recent edits on page Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport are not constructive and have been reverted. If you have a special interest in editing this page, there is no problem but if you are vandalizing the page with your personal POV, then there is a problem.

  • Firstly, there isn't any provision for "highlighting" international destinations of those airlines which operate flights to domestic as well as international destinations (Air India, IndiGo, Spicejet etc in this case). If you want to start this new trend, then seek consensus on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airports before applying it on the particular article since the said article comes under this WikiProject.
  • Secondly, we don't use random flight tracking sites like [www.flightradar24.com] as sources here, especially if "verification" of direct or non-stop flights (passenger/ cargo) is concerned. Such sites are unreliable because they tend to conflict with each other (look at other such sites) and the verifiability of all of them is questionable. At least, you must not use flightradar.com and other such flight tracking sites to "verify" flights listed in Wikipedia airport articles. And do you think CCU is fifth busiest airport in India by cargo traffic with only three cargo airlines operating from here ? Please use the published timetable of airlines for "verification" and don't remove airlines/ destinations just after "verifying" them from unreliable sites like flightradar24.com.
  • Thirdly, you may be right in removing SXR from Spicejet destinations only because the booking for SXR-CCU route is not available. But your proposition that since it is a flight with 2 stops, it must not be listed is wrong. As long as a direct flight flies with same flight number and same aircraft, it doesn't matter how many stops it make and all intermediate stops from / upto which booking is available to next route/ from previous route have to be listed as destinations along with final destination, though most direct flights do have not more than 2 stops and more commonly 1 stop. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Rather than blindly reverting to prove you are correct, spend some time in understanding how we arrive at consensus. I t was decided in many cases to include only the airlines list in cargo as the destinations are never usually the same and also there are little to no refs. It serves no purpose in you trying to keep bickering over the same.  LeoFrank  Talk 16:06, 28 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism, such as the edit at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage editors. Please see what is not vandalism for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. It's your responsibility to prove the airlines you have restored are still operating scheduled services. LeoFrank  Talk 13:32, 13 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I wonder whybdo we have admins who have no knowledge of the country and operating airlines and changes as per will. You can be the admin and try to bully around but prove yourself that in what basis did you allow to erase operating airlines which was existent on this page for a long time. I will rather complain against you for destroying the informative page. The airlines operating have been proved to be operating. This happens when we have ignorant admins with no connection or knowledge of the country to manage a page. You have even erased all the active domestic destinations which are operating. Its a shame that you allow bots and stupid people to delete airlines and destinations while we,who had been managing this page for a long time are being challenged. Shame on you. I would Ratner complain against your high handedness. Wonderbank (talk) 17:11, 13 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

As an admin what did you actually do and research before reverting the changes? Do you really know what are the airline's operating in India? Do you think that all airlines publish their schedule like Air Asia India? I don't care of getting banned because it's better to be out rather than engage with those who are made admins without domain knowledge. There are 1000s of Wiki pages that has false information and I work on them on a regular basis. I may not be an admin in Wiki but I am a domain expert in Indian aviation associated with Kolkata airport page for yearsand now when the entire page has been stripped of all information, it looks like a page that has false information. Ratner one should sue Wiki because of partial information provided and you, Leo Frank, is responsible for it. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Either get an Indian here or change the admin. I am getting this escalated further. Wonderbank (talk) 17:18, 13 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
