Fixing a no-break space invisible character
Hey, I was just wondering how you can spot a problematic character like you did here. This issue has happened to me a few times and I never knew how to fix it. Would I need to install a script or something? Thank you.
Alivardi (talk) 22:03, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Alivardi: The article came to my attention because it was linked from the Cleanup listing for WikiProject Bangladesh, which is generated every Tuesday. The article appeared on the list because it was in the hidden category Category:CS1 errors: invisible characters. The article displayed to me the error message no-break space character in |quote= at position 186 (help) in the problematic reference, because I have all Citation Style 1 errors turned on in file User:Worldbruce/common.css. Then it was just a matter of counting 186 characters into the quote and overtyping what looked like a space (but was non-breaking) with an ordinary space. A diff confirmed the character had changed, even though the naked eye couldn't see a difference. You can create an identical common.css of your own if you want to see the error messages. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:14, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- I understand, thank you for getting back to me.

- I understand, thank you for getting back to me.
Why why rejected my article tell clearly.
You are saying that my article is adequately covered within Momo Challenge hoax, right!!! I want to ask you something, is it my mistake or of writer of that article? Because that writer is writing about Momo Challenge hoax and he has also written about Mother Bird sculpture which I snot at all relevant to Momo Challenge hoax article. If he had only written that game encouraged from Mother Bird Sculpture, it would still have been fine. Do you write Animal cell's info in Plant Cell article?
And I have written about Mother Bird sculpture using thejapantimes and Fox News Illinois which are news channel websites. CAN U STATE CLEARLY AND MAIN REASON FOR REJECTION OF MY ARTICLES SO THAT I CAN MODIFY TO GET IT REVIEWED AGAIN. kept track?
Hi. Have you kept track of every reference you've checked for Bengal Famine article over the years? I'm on vacation now for a few days plus my laptop died and took all my files with it Plus the FAC reviewers made me delete refs from the original FIC even though IIRC MILHIST has a rule that says they can use ships captains logs...... so... may be a week before I can even try to see why you tagged that reference. But don't overlook my question above.... tks.OneOffUserName (talk) 23:06, 19 January 2021 (UTC) Actually it might even be a month before I can get sources...OneOffUserName (talk) 23:30, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- No, not in the sense of some list of source-page-quote-paraphrase tuples. What I've been doing is gradually acquiring copies of the cited sources. When I have time, I check a source against the citations of it. Even if/when I ever collect a full set of sources, I fear I'll never finish, because the article keeps changing under me. --Worldbruce (talk) 02:20, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- It sorta doesn't matter anyhow. Wikipedia's bad faith, pro UK editors will never let it pass FAC. So whatever.OneOffUserName (talk) 05:19, 20 January 2021 (UTC)

Laksam Upazila
Hey, so I am new to Wikipedia, so I wasn't familiar with every rule, I was aware of the image copyrights, but text copyright didn't catch my attention. I just wanted to improve the article, now I fully understand how to make edits on Wikipedia. One quick question, I usually search for images on Flickr, and if they are free licensed, like public domain or creative commons, can I upload them on Wikipedia and use them on an article? or do I only get to use images on articles which are already been uploaded to Wikipedia? fadewwiki (talk) 09:59, 16 February 2021 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fadewwiki (talk • contribs) 07:00, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Fadewwiki: If images are public domain or have a compatible creative commons license, you may upload them to Wikimedia Commons. Then you may use them in Wikipedia articles. Don't overload articles with images. Galleries, for example, should generally be avoided. An article the size of Laksam Upazila needs only 4-6 images. More information can be found in:

Dear Woldbruce,
You mentions two potential sources that you added to the draft's talk page, but I do not see them. How should I access the page?

- @Henk Borgdorff: The review in Krisis is helpful. The interviews are not useful for establishing notability because they are primary sources and not independent of you. They are you talking about your work, with little analysis by the interviewer. By the way, it is not necessary to start a new section with every post. Another thank you
Thank you for you most recent work on Economy of Bangladesh and its talk page. I got pretty exhausted rather quickly after dealing with those infobox edits, as the disproportionate amount of time it takes to verify changes to it was very wearying. It's definitely an unfortunate pattern with a lot of these "Economy of X" articles, and it's a surprisingly difficult task to watch over them. Perryprog (talk) 17:22, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

I removed University of Minnesota alumni as a category because I replaced it with Carlson School of Management alumni, the name of UM’s business school. There is no reason to have him in a subcategory and the parent category. It is redundant and just makes the parent category larger than it need be. ThurstonMitchell (talk) 23:04, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

- @অগ্নিশিখা: If your work has been reverted by someone more experienced, it may mean that what you did was unhelpful, or that you weren't persuasive about how it was beneficial to the encyclopedia. The Bangladesh Air Force article has been created over a period of 17+ years by over 1000 editors. Certain aspects of it still need improvement, but other parts have reached a fairly stable consensus state. The place to discuss particular changes you want, and to seek agreement, is the article's talk page, Talk:Bangladesh Air Force. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:36, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

There is some kind of confusing going on.
I'm not Dibosh Chakma. Actually he (Dibosh) was the previous owner of the mobile that I am using right now. I bought the mobile from Dibosh couple of weeks ago. Therefore my cousin taught me how to edit in Wikipedia. That's why, though I am new but I know the basics of editting in Wikipedia.
As far as I know that the IP address still remains the same if the mobile owner is changed. This is why, some other users think that I am Dibosh Chakma. অগ্নিশিখা (talk) 04:01, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Can you please check the draft improved according to your suggestions?
Hi Worldbruce, Thanks for your feedback on the help desk. I have made some edits to the draft according to your suggestion. Can you please take a look? Thanks--Askadvice (talk) 16:35, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Askadvice: That's a step in the right direction, but you need to be more ruthless in cutting weak sources and material. If a reliable source contains significant coverage of the subject, you should be able to squeeze it for quite a bit of content, a lot more than "is an Italian actor". An example of a piece that contains significant coverage of a person would be this article. If there's anything as deep as that for Morassutti, it's well hidden. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:51, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
I am glad to hear that. I have tried to be more ruthless, did some further source cutting and added this source. I have also found something like this and this but not sure if they are a good fit. Any advices ?THX--Askadvice (talk) 19:32, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Hi :@Worldbruce:. I have found this source . Would it be considered in depth ?--Askadvice (talk) 23:20, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Bangladesh Air Force
Need attention on the modernization section. People are adding random stuff from German Air Force into the page of Bangladesh Air Force. If someone likes to contribute to German Air Force, please feel free to contribute to German Air Force page. People also writing the same sentence again and again such as "Bangladesh will buy European fighter jets" after each paragraph. It confuses the reader. Please maintain tone and neutrality of the Wikipedia. Thanks again. Canberra2021 (talk)

Bro I spent so much time organizing the sections of this page and now everything is all messed up please fix this Mehedi099 (talk) 06:56, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Mehedi099: Fix it yourself instead of just talking about it. You are welcome to revert to Yamato Bismarck Hood Iowa's version of List of equipment of the Bangladesh Army as of 01:35, 25 July 2021. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:03, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Its a good decision to revert to the previous version.Though many of the information given later was quite accurate so i suggest we update the page with acceptable information but without rearranging the section because the we need a clean out look,so let's keep the sections as it is and just add the acceptable equipment information. And I think we should bring back the utility and other vehicles under the vehicles and air defense section Mehedi099 (talk) 06:44, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Mehedi099: Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Merely being true, or even verifiable, does not automatically make something suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Selection criteria for inclusion should factor in encyclopedic and topical relevance, not just verifiable existence. We should give aspects of a topic due weight. Articles should not give minority aspects as much of or as detailed a description as more widely supported aspects.
- There are only a handful of reliable secondary sources about the equipment of the Bangladesh Army as a whole. Not a single one of them lists cars, trucks, or utility vehicles that the army uses. That information is as irrelevant as what brand of pen officers sign orders with or what brand of pan cooks prepare meals in. It just isn't as important as what tanks, artillery, or aircraft an army uses.
- As long as any material you add is reliably sourced, I won't revert it. I didn't check every source the sockpuppet added, but every source I did check was not reliable or failed to support the content added. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:44, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
Well some of the fire arms added before had proper source, for example AUG,AK 47,AKM,KRISS Vector,MP5,PT pindad is i Used by the army and special forces, and they had good reference to back them up,i think you should check the sources and if the source is reliable then we can add them Mehedi099 (talk) 13:44, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

An inquisitive inquiry
Hi Worldbruce,
You are a highly intelligent person and your knowledge on Bangladesh is very comprehensive. I do not mean to sound offensive, but can I ask why you do not use more of your energy on wikipedia articles related to Bangladesh such as the ones mentioned on the WikiProject Bangladesh To-do list. I think your knowledge would be of great use to many wikipedia articles related to Bangladesh.
Kind regards,–AMomen88 (talk) 20:31, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
- @AMomen88: Most of my 100,000+ global edits have been to Bangladesh-related articles or their talk pages, and I've edited about two-thirds of all articles in the scope of WikiProject Bangladesh.
- I don't use the project to-do list as a personal to-do list; I doubt if any editor does. There have only been a few substantive edits to it in the past 6 years, and there's never any discussion of what belongs on it. Asking another editor to make particular edits is rarely effective. Why don't you fix the 1400 {{citation needed}} problems on these Bangladesh-related articles? Editors make the edits they're good at, to topics that interest them, and as their time permits.
- Wikipedians have real lives - family, school and/or job, and interests outside the encyclopedia. To collaborate effectively, break problems down into modest pieces, address them one at a time, and stay on topic so that your edits don't become TLDR. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:51, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Cabinets
A new user has moved all the articles on various cabinets of Bangladesh to ministries, such as Fakhruddin Ahmed ministry. I do not think it is the right move and I would appreciate your opinion on the matter. What do you think of the name change?Vinegarymass911 (talk) 04:26, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Vinegarymass911: The change struck my ear as odd, but that could be because I'm accustomed to seeing the articles titled as cabinets, or it could be a national variety of English thing. Category:Ministries of Elizabeth II contains ministries for the UK and Canada, cabinets for Ceylon, and governments for Scotland and Wales, so either title is plausible. I would need to research to see what reliable sources usually call them for Bangladesh, and don't have time now, so was going to wait and see if there were objections from editors who specialize in politics. The editor who made the change strikes me as eager and well intentioned. In some cases they're wrong, in others they may be useful new blood with a fresh viewpoint. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:20, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

Hamutal Slovin
Hi, I'm not sure why you felt the need to write like that, it wasnt very nice.. Anyhow, I want to address what you wrote and mention you ignored a few reliable sources that are on the draft, such as weizmann, Globes and Google Scholar. I added orcid, Cell Press (publishes over 50 scientific journals) and academia.edu. I removed date of birth which is the first time I learned needs to be cited although on the Hebrew page its ok and left the rest as is in terms of links. Could you recheck and please concider removing the comment you left which is very harsh and I dont think it needs to be so personal.. after all, she is a pro and deserves a wiki page, im not trying to advertise her. Thanks, --Li-reg (talk) 10:42, 19 August 2021 (UTC).
- I also added a few more links. Li-reg (talk) 11:00, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Li-reg: You wrote,
"What can be done? Im here to get help"
. My comment on Draft:Hamutal Slovin tells you what needs to be done to get the draft accepted. It may be unpleasant to hear that your work so far has been misdirected, and that there is much more work to do, but that's the truth. It was meant to be helpful, and I don't see any way in which it was harsh, personal, or not being nice to you or your subject. - I didn't ignore Globes. It is an acceptable source, but insufficient on its own to demonstrate notability. I didn't ignore Weizmann Institute of Science or Google Scholar because the draft didn't (and still doesn't) cite them. ORCID, Cell Press, and academia.edu are useless for demonstrating notability, and like Vimeo and ResearchGate, should be removed. When I've declined a draft at Afc, I normally don't review it again if it's resubmitted. This practice gives authors the benefit of a fresh look by a reviewer who may have different strengths.
- No one "deserves a wiki page". If the draft is ever accepted for publication, it will be an encyclopedia article, not a page owned by or controlled by the subject. The essay "An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing", although focused on autobiographies, contains much useful information about why a biography on Wikipedia is bad for the person. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:44, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
- To me it felt very unplesent but I dont see the point of dragging this if you say it was not. I have corrected what you suggested and will wait for a review. I dont understand how it got to this point but thats where it is and we will try and make it work. Thank you, Li-reg (talk) 08:51, 26 August 2021 (UTC).

Corruption in Bangladesh
Hi Worldbruce (talk)
I was adding three more references, but you're reverting the article. I am not sure about your perception of University publication. A university does not publish a paper without vetting by the senior professors. Hence the publication has two author for verification purpose. There might be another Al Jazeera report about Bangladesh Military. So the paragraph is well vetted and obtained from reputable source.
Would you be interested...
Hey. It's been a while... Would you be interested in helping with this? ♦ Lingzhi.Random (talk) 04:53, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
- I dunno if I mentioned: I can't be involved. I can't help (aside from answering questions). The goal is another run at FAC, and there would be an obvious COI if I verified cites...sorry, and thanks... ♦ Lingzhi.Random (talk) 04:37, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- It's wise of you to remain somewhat aloof from the verification task, if only because the harder you work to win the FA seal of approval, the more stressed you get.
- A few days ago I started downloadling sources from MEGA that I didn't already have. A few things about how the shared folder is organized are liable to put volunteers off.
- Many of the sources there are not cited in the article. It would be better if those were segregated in a different folder from the sources that are cited.
- Because of inconsistent file naming, it is hard to find a particular source. It would be easier if file names corresponded to how the source is cited. For example, to verify "J. Mukherjee 2015, p. 60.", I would like to go directly to a file named "J. Mukherjee 2015.pdf" (or "J. Mukherjee 2015 p. 1-152.pdf" if the file is so big that it needs to be broken down).
- It isn't clear why sometimes there's both a pdf and a txt file for a source. Is it related to the next point?
- Some pdfs, such as those for Greenough 1982, are not searchable pdfs. At a minimum, these should be flagged. I may be able to help replace some with searchable pdfs.
- A few days ago I started downloadling sources from MEGA that I didn't already have. A few things about how the shared folder is organized are liable to put volunteers off.
- I've never verified an article of this scale, or worked with several people to do so. I see Vami IV's invitation to use Discord, and can try it, but can't envision how it will facilitate the long task. It seems like the desired output is a chart relating a statement to the sources cited for it, with each source annotated with a quotation that the reviewer feels supports the statement, or a failed verification tag. To use a random example:
- There has been very considerable debate about the amount of carryover available for use at the onset of the famine.
- A. Sen 1977, pp. 47, 52; failed verification
- De 2006, p. 30; "according to a statement published by the civil supplies ministry on 4 May 1943, Suhrawardy was convinced that any deficit in 1943 could be fully met from the carry-over from 1941–42 ... Chaudhuri, demonstrating how this was an impossible proposal, said that there could only be insignificant or nil carry-over of rice"
- Mukerjee 2014, p. 73. "Goswami ... recalculated the official figures to find that there was little carry-over of rice from the previous year"
- Where I would expect you to be involved is to resolve failed verifications. Also to review the annotations to see if you agree and would be comfortable using them to explain during the FA process how the sources support the text. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:16, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply!
- @Mr rnddude:@Vami IV:
- Yeah, it's all very unorganized. I apologize. For years, I just sorta knew which ones were which. I really only got them for myself to use, and never envisioned sharing them with others on a large scale... Sorry...
- I did have many of them in a folder labeled "unsearchable", and that was the extent of the organization, I think. I foolishly dumped the unsearchable ones in with the rest when I uploaded to MEGA... I can easily make a list of most of those, or create a subfolder for them, or something... I'll get started on that... hey, I'll make a subfolder... I assume subfolders of shared files are automatically shared as well...
- Perhaps the best way to fix the file naming chaos would be to do it on demand...? If there's a file that someone wants and can't find, I could tell them what it is?
Does that seem acceptable, or would you rather just standardize them all?
- I can undertake a major reorganization, though, if that's what you wish...
- In general, the ones with names like "47464736" are ones that were never used. I almost always renamed the ones I used... but not always... the IARIHDD files being the best (worst) example of often-used files with indecipherable names...
- There are different versions of some things, with different pagination, "Hungry Bengal" being the best (worst) example.
- For Greenough.. that's the biggest example of an unsearchable one... I had to go back and forth from the index in the very back to "whatever page". Yes, it was inconvenient.
- I am just thinking aloud here. Let me know what you think... THANKS! ♦ Lingzhi.Random (talk) 22:35, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Lingzhi.Random: My personal workspace is chaotic, so you needn't apologize for the disorganized shared folder. It does need to be organized though. Every participant shouldn't have to figure out on their own that the notes section of Iqbal 2010 is in file bbm%3A978-0-230-28981-9%2F1.pdf. Granted, they aren't all that obscure, but I don't think renaming on demand will be sufficient. Bite the bullet and standardize the file naming now so the sources will be easy for verifiers to check.
- The good news is that I have a searchable pdf of Greenough 1982 (or at least of all the pages cited by the article). I've uploaded it to the MEGA share in five files covering five page ranges. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:48, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
- Howdy, pard. I'm thinking we should conduct this on a subpage or section of the famine's talk page, for the purposes of coordination and documentation. Thoughts? –♠Vami_IV†♠ 08:35, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Vami IV: You're right, we should wind this discussion thread down. I've created a talk subpage Talk:Bengal famine of 1943/Verify where participants in the verification effort can collaborate, hopefully without too many people who aren't verifying citations sticking their oars in. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:48, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
Can I remove PROD template now?
Can I remove PROD template from Fazlur Rashid now? ➤ Tajwar – thesupermaN!【Click to Discuss】 16:02, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Tajwar.thesuperman: You have made some useful edits in the past 10 weeks, but many more have been harmful. You exhibit a poor understanding of:
- What a reliable source is
- What an independent source is
- What a notable topic is
- Fazlur Rashid is not a notable person. Wikipedia should not have a stand alone article about him. If you, or anyone else, remove the PROD template, I will take it to Articles for deletion, where I believe it will be deleted.
- Wikipedia has many rules. Successful contributors spend about 80% of their time reading (the rules, discussions, and sources) and 20% of their time writing. You are spending too much time writing (or copying), creating too much content that is unsuitable for the encyclopedia, and creating much work for other volunteers who have to clean up after you. If you are finding either the reading or writing difficult, perhaps because English is not your first language, consider contributing to the Bengali-language Wikipedia instead. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:56, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Worldbruce: I understand English! I've read all rules within past 3 days. But I made these articles before the three days. Then I didn't know the rules. I'm editing on Wikipedia from July (3 months). But I'm creating page since last 2 weeks. But I didn't read this rules. But now I understand! I hope that I won't do this mistakes again. - @Worldbruce, well thats interesting. What happened is that here on enwiki, i recently nominated some articles created by User:Tajwar.thesuperman and they got hurt and they decided to leave bnwiki! I don't know what to say. Don't leave your native wiki just because someone nominated your articles on other wiki. (Interesting fact, enwiki literally has thousands of regular editor while bnwiki has only 15-20 regular editor even though there are 30 core Bengalis, yes really). Don't leave, Try helping your native wiki too, the same way you translate bnwiki's articles to enwiki. Help your native wiki to grow as well. And I left bn wikipedia for you and other users behaviour. And why you advertising bn wikipedia all places?? Thanks!! ➤ Tajwar – thesupermaN!【Click to Discuss】 14:10, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- @আফতাবুজ্জামান: And I'm back to bn wiki. You can see that I've removed retired template from my userpage. I'm thinking to make articles to not only enwiki but also bnwiki. And I left bnwiki out of anger. Thanks. ➤ Tajwar – thesupermaN!【Click to Discuss】 14:33, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- @আফতাবুজ্জামান: And I love my mother tongue bangla and my country Bangladesh very much!
- @User:Tajwar.thesuperman As i said, bnwiki is very small and have very few editors, when i see a Bangladeshi wikipedian, i try to request them to contribute on bnwiki. I did not saw your edit on bnwiki since you left, but if you're really back on bnwiki thats good for bnwiki. I wont be here forever, bnwiki needs new editor like you. --আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 15:53, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

I've come to apologize
Hey. I've come to apologize. I truly hope you can find it in your hear to forgive me. I've worked very hard on Talk:Bengal famine of 1943/Verify and Black Monday (1987) and Marshall Plan etc. Genuinely I have tried very, very hard. But I have come to realize this project just has far too many dark memories for me. It just ain't a good thing in my life. Last time I quit, it was for a year and a half. I hope this one is forever. Sorry. ♦ Lingzhi.Random (talk) 12:28, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
Are you Bangladeshi?
How dare you to change Bangladesh army equipment with misinformation? Tanvir Ahmed Siddiqi (talk) 04:09, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Tanvir Ahmed Siddiqi: How dare you lie about what the cited sources say? If you want the article to say something else, the burden is on you to identify and cite other reliable sources that say that. --Worldbruce (talk) 04:26, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
You freak
Have you seen anything from Bangladesh army? Visit the bengali verison of this page and watch the pictures carefully🤬🤬😡 and you call it source? I have seen those equipments infront of me and you idiot removed those? Tanvir Ahmed Siddiqi (talk) 04:50, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
Wrong source
Those cited source are from other countries. Nothing from Bangladeshi media. We know it well. You're not a Bangladeshi so get off. I have seen all those 6 mi 171sh together in parade. Besides yesterday 2 new bell 407gxi was added to BA aviation. Where are utility vehicles and trucks? Are you mad? I have the images of all kinds of vehicles of Bangladesh army. Have you seen them in your life? Tanvir Ahmed Siddiqi (talk) 04:55, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
Add all the utility vehicles
Add all the utility vehicles also the 2 bell 407 that was comissioned yesterday. Tanvir Ahmed Siddiqi (talk) 07:11, 12 October 2021 (UTC)

- Is this request from you, Orbit Wharf? I assume so given the phrasing, nature of the request, and who you addressed it to. Please remember to sign in when editing. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so could result in your account being blocked from editing.
- No, I won't do what you ask above. On Wikipedia, asking a stranger to do something (other than to follow the rules or correct a mistake they've made) will rarely be effective, especially when you could do the task yourself. At worst asking someone to do this could be construed as meatpuppetry or canvassing. Add to that the institutions are not in my prime geographic area of interest (Bangladesh), and the fact that if done well the list represents nine months worth of work. I already have plenty of things to keep me busy, things that actually interest me. --Worldbruce (talk) 22:43, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

Bangladesh Tariff Commission
Please review the article Bangladesh Tariff Commission. As per website [1] the correct name should be Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission. কৌতূহলী প্রযুক্তিবিদ (talk) 10:09, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Mashkawat.ahsan: The "correct" title in Wikipedia is the one that is most common. So the official name is not necessarily the correct article title. Government entities frequently change names as the result of reorganizations. It usually takes a while for a new name to become common. Even on this official page, for example, the longer name is used only in the masthead, while the shorter name is used as the page title and in the text. A good way to handle such cases is to add a sentence or two to the article saying that on such and such a date the government changed the name to Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission, giving such and such as a reason, and citing a reliable source that talks about the renaming. You can do that yourself. Then check back every year or two to see if the new name has become the common name. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:47, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

Draft for Akribis Systems
Hey! thanks for the detailed reply. Wanted to ask if this link be used as a source? https://www.channelnewsasia.com/watch/becoming-global-hub/connecting-world-2277481 This is a part of a docuseries done by Channel News Asia. Our part starts from 28:00.
Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sjchin (talk • contribs) 00:55, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Sjchin: It's the CEO and other company representatives talking about the company, without independent analysis, so, like the interview in The Straits Times, it doesn't help show notability. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:08, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
Can I just mention that CNA did a docuseries with Akribis and use this reference there? CNA would not do a docuseries without verifying the company background.
