A couple of notes

Just adding to that welcome with a few other things that new editors often forget. One is to use "preview" so that the history of an article doesn't get filled up, another is that we've got a strong guideline on external links that you may want to review. Keep up the good work.

Virtual album.

While I respect that you created the virtual album article, I don't think the term is prolific enough to start rewriting articles in its shaddow. IE: I don't think you should start going through artists' pages and separating iTunes Originals into a completely separate category. Many physical CDs exist in digital form. I don't think that a release that is internet only merits the album being singled out. Internet releases have been around a lot longer than iTunes. Your own article gives an example. The Black Eyed Peas album was released as a CD. So why is it still a virtual album? nothing in the term "album" says what the format has to be. records were albums on analogue vinyl. Tapes were albums on magnetic cassette. CDs are digital albums on a reflective disc. Why should downloaded albums (on hard drives) be classified differently? I can see from the fact that you created the article for A Poet's life, which you claim is the source for the term that you probably have a fan attachment to the term and the artist who coined it, and I ask this with all due respect, not as an insult, but as a genuine question - is there any significant and notable outside use of the term virtual album besides Mr. Armstrong's usage (and his fanbase)? I just don't think it's right to relist all iTunes Originals as "virtual albums" and then have people need to look up what that means because noone knows the term. That would just be proliferating the term via wikipedia, instead of defining the albums by existing terms. Hope to hear back from you. TheHYPO 07:34, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
