Amateur social football club.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Please do not delete the article. I tried to edit the article but not sure if I did the right thing on how to remove the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice. The club is NOT a social club although most of the football clubs actually really start as a social club established by football enthusiasts like Aston Villa Football Club or Arsenal Football Club. It is an independent club from ceres f.c. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceres_F.C.) although they are both managed by the same parent company Ceres, under the manager Leo Rey Yanson. This club is based in the National Capital Region (NCR) and thus is a member of the NCR-Football Association while the other club is based in Visayas region and is under the Negros Occidental Football Association. Thus the articles for Ceres F.C. cannot be merged with Ceres Football Club-Manila.

I placed the club under the footy stub category since I know there is a lot of work to improve it. The club is becoming more popular and expanding. Even members from other clubs have already transfered to the club (ex. Christian Gaviola is now the keeper of the club and he used to play for Sunken Garden United F.C. http://www.uflphilippines.com.ph/teams-details/1316702642955/Details.html).

It is still a very young club although with the increasing enthusiasm for football in Manila, Philippines, there is great potential for the club to expand and for the article to get better.

Unintentional deletion of tags and Merging

edit

Sorry for the mistake. As I mentioned in the above reply I did, I tried to edit the article but not sure if I did the right thing on how to remove the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice. The club is NOT a social club although most of the football clubs actually really start as a social club established by football enthusiasts like Aston Villa Football Club or Arsenal Football Club. The criteria for Wikipedia article is met by the article and as I mentioned, I placed it as a stub since there is indeed much work needed to improve the article. At any rate the issue seems to have been resolved with the decision to merge with ceres_f.c. article...

However, I suggest or nominate to keep the article independent from the article ceres_f.c. Although both teams are under one big club or company Ceres which manages several clubs, they function like Asto Villa where there is U-21, academy, professionals; or in some serie A and serie B; or division 1, 2 or 3... It is difficult to categorize but the two teams have to be separate. The structure in the Philippines though is not as well defined as those in other countries so club representation may sometimes occur in a regional scheme where in different teams are formed by the same management or company which helps in the representation of the club in different leagues as well as it also minimizes expenses since the Philippines is composed of several islands that it sometimes is costly for a team to travel to one area for competition just like Cebu Queen City United FC who decided not to join this years UFL league because of travel issues for their team. To add Ceres Liner Football Club and Ceres-La Salle Football Club as well are also not clearly defined and they are managed by Ceres company (part of Yanson Group of Companies) as well but one is identified by having more representation from La-Salle varsity players.

The better solution here would be to create a parent article for Ceres company's football endeavor and under it will be links for the ceres la-salle f.c., ceres liner f.c , ceres football club-manila, ceres-negros U23 and even dynamic builders fc which is also under Yanson group of companies. But at this point while we will place more efforts to have the football association articles in the Philippines more complete we just keep the articles as is and tag them as tubs so they get improved.
