Welcome to the "talk" page for What's the frequency, Kenneth?

Go ahead. It's your nickel.

Reminder...

edit

When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template.

rjensen

edit

Been away. Yes, the treatment of McCarthy really smacks of character assassination, whether that's rjensen's intent or not. It's not the facts that are the problem, but the presentation. Anyway, Rjensen appears to be an academic historian, with strong links to conservative politics. I think he's pushing a spin on Kennedy, but one that he probably personally believes. I don't have the energy to fight him over it, because he's got all the advantages. Hopefully another historian will become interested in the article.

P.S. I see the template police are harassing you too. It took 100 times more server load to leave you that message than the no-subst template itself took. Effing busybodies. Derex 05:05, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Username

edit

I love, love, love your username. (Came across it in User talk:Rklawton.) Sorry for such a trivial comment, but it had to be said! --Marysunshine 04:30, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Not directed at you

edit

Haha, no, I was just exploding reacting to the use of vandalproof on the sandbox. Seems like it might drive away newbies. It wasn't you though. Karwynn (talk) 22:57, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I did figure that out when the Llama individual left a comment on your talk page--What's the frequency, Kenneth? 22:58, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
"The llama individual" Ha! THat cracks me up. Good note to sign off on, thanks! Karwynn (talk) 23:14, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem

edit

Don't worry about that notice. It was in reference to the following user talk page: found here.

The main point I was trying to get with that message was to WP:SUBST messages. You substitute templates by typing subst: after the beginning brackets, but before the template name. For example, to subst: {{test}}, you would type {{subst:test}}. Subst:ing reduces server load, and safeguards against vandalism. If this explanation is not sufficient, please contact me on my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 00:24, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Response to pricing question

edit

I posted to a response to your question on my talk page, and expanded a bit on the reasoning on the article discussion page for Bigelow Aerospace. Let me know if you have any further questions! Augustz 00:35, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Photoofme.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Photoofme.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:10, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

For anyone paying attention, this bot screwed up and removed what I believe was a correctly attributed picture. I told the author and never got a response. Some kid posted a photo in its place, and now it appears that the kid's photo is my photo. It's not. What's the frequency, Kenneth? 18:01, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
